I'm surprised that I'm surprised that there is so much borderline/actual porn clogging up itch.io's top sellers.

If I could draw id be making porn game$$$.

A Fond Farewell to Yanfly

Enjoy your retirement Yanfly.

As for the RPGM community itself... well I guess its going to interesting to see what happens when the next version launches featuring no features and theres nobody to make the damn thing worth using.

Like design of this heroine?

What does her scouter say about his power level?

Alternative to RPG Maker

I think my big issue with the way MV uses JS is that knowing the language isnt enough, you kind of need to work out HOW the engine is using Java on a case by case basis in order to manipulate it. Somethings are a lot easier to modify than others but still, its not exactly friendly.

The upside to building something in an engine like GMS2 is while yeah, you need to learn how to code it, once you HAVE learn't how to do that you will also know exactly what parameters to hit up in order to change or modify things.

Alternative to RPG Maker

Yup, im looking at making my own base RPG engine in GMS2 once I am done with my current project.

Dev log #1 : Power and Support Roles

Looking tight man, always love how nice your menus look, only person using ACE I can really say that about.

State of Affairs! Arf!

Sorry for the loss but having lost data in the past myself, heres a little hot tip.

Set up a local dropbox directory for your project and work from it. Everytime you save it will upload the updated files to the cloud. With the filesize of RPGM content it takes the blink of an eye. I have been using this process for years now and its seriously saved my ass. It also means I can directly access the files from both my PC and Mac without ever having to transfer anything. Its all seemless.

Make this in Game Maker so I can play it on my damn Switch. >=(
Figure out an easy transition to that and I'll be game

I was thinking if I can can get the key skeleton parts of an RPG working in GMS I would happily share those files around for people wanting to make the jump over so they can build off it.

2019 gaming diary

September

Heavenly Sword: An interesting product of its time, had some highs and lows, the framerate was a bit to inconsistent to work as a good action game but as a time capsule for the early part of last generation it was kind of fascinating.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade: Pretty fun combat let down by really bland world traversal. I still enjoyed the game a lot but it definitely got on my nerves at times.

Yoshis Woolly World: Just utterly charming, loved it.
