VOLETORCS'S PROFILE

I've been playing Nintendo games for years and I especially like all the 2D Zelda games, but I've always wanted a game of that style driven only by puzzles, like some sort of puzzle-adventure game so I've started making one.

KD+KQ is Done!

Hey, yes, you did do quite a bit of testing for the original (thanks again), in which hints could be obtained for free. The game is now two parallel games: you play in different areas to earn hints. Let me know if the music works.

New Expansion to Knight's Dungeon

Knight's Dungeon

Cool, have fun playing. I'll do another similar game eventually, but I'm not sure if it'll be a sequel or what. We'll see!

I have sometimes found myself accidently leaving a room during a big puzzle, or making a tiny mistake I couldn't erase, and then I had to redo the whole puzzle.

Thanks for the feedback on the green blocks. Yes, its really annoying when you accidentally leave the room in the middle of it, and I'm sure I could put in a fix for that. I have it set up so that everything in the room is reset each time you enter just because I'm not really sure how to make things stay in place once leaving a map. I had recently made it so you could no longer push the blocks to a location that made the block unpushable, such as next to the wall or "move" event, but I didn't put much more thought into it than that. I'll have to think about an "undo" feature. I'm not quite sure how I would do it yet, but its definitely doable.

The note says you have to look at a certain place to start translating the code, is this still possible if my notebook isn't updated?

Yes its possible, the note tells you the rule to solving the translation, and tells you a certain place to look to begin translating it (you can look at this place at any time in the game), so if you know those two things you should be able to translate the red block code without actually having your notebook get updated. If you have trouble let me know.

Knight's Dungeon

Thanks a ton for pointing out those glitches Jeroen_Sol! I'm not sure how I screwed up updating page 5 because it used to work. I'll update the game to fix those.

Knight's Dungeon

Sure, so in level 2 you need to find 2 pieces of paper that fit together into a block diagram with numbers on the side. So if you've done this then my hint to you is that the block diagram is another numbers-to-letters message.

Knight's Dungeon

Um, in a long long time. I usually work on it on my lunch break at work for about 20 minutes. I'm just wrapping up planning on levels 3 - 9 (which are very complicated compared to 1 - 2) and actual production in Rpg Maker is quite slow for me, so it'll be done before I die.
