These are full of character. I like that creepy one with the person's stomach in pieces xD The idea of drawing on a real life photo is neat. I should try that some time.

Thanks also! Yeah color palettes are definitely my weakness, I've been trying to work with brighter, limited color palettes, mostly in my sketches...

...by forcing myself to only use highlighters like this

I've also found some good references for color as well. But I just end up defaulting to blue and orange.

Update 12/6/14: Here's some old stuff I still like that didn't get bunched in with the last stuff because I forgot about it or something. Also I tweaked the sizing on some of the older stuff I posted so it's easier/nicer/? to look at now.

@Suzy that reminds me that in high school I went through a phase where I got really frustrated with my art bc the only compliment I would ever get was cute and I wanted to be taken seriously. So anyway I went about this in the worst way possible by trying to draw in a Tim Burton style and it was a disaster and everyone still thought my art was cute even though I was trying to over gore it lol.

My Yume Nikki phase has been going on for like four years and shows no signs of stopping. It's nice though because I can still switch styles of drawings or mediums and still play with the same motifs.

Edit: Y'know what might be fun. A "post your old embarrassing art" thread.

Small update! I can now use Adobe Illustrator! (sorta)
