Whenever I'm bored, I tend to roam the alleyways of RMN. I came across Heartache 101 and decided to give it a shot. Here's my review!
Alright, let's begin!
Story
Heartache 101 gives you a choice of a handful of girls that you can date. They each have their own stories and personalities. For my first date, I chose Riho. The way we met was awkward, with her being rude to me. I, however, found this to helping me make my choice of which girl I was going to follow. Soon enough, I got tangled in her story and I would try my best to make her happy. The stories in this game are very realistic and it can even help you make related life decisions in the future, boys. 5/5
Graphics
The graphics are what you see in the previews. Cute anime girls and designs. It's nothing particularly special, but it fits. However, I found myself mistaking some of the girls for others at first, but that soon changed as I got deeper into it. The graphics are basically of an anime you would watch, they reminded me of the Higurashi series. They were something that I personally enjoyed. 4/5
Gameplay
The game is a mix of a visual novel, "the choice is yours", and something from Mario Party. It was a great mix, that did get some taking used to at first. But nevertheless, the enjoyment I received from it kept me playing comfortably. However, it can get a tad repetitive at times, but overall it's something that was well thought of and well made. 4/5
Overall
Heartache 101 is a fun and deep game that has many stories to read on, many great features, great comical moments, emotional times, and a BIG replay value. I am glad I gave it a chance, and I look forward to continuing anything I left unfinished.
Heartache 101 gets a 4/5

Hmm, not really getting a Higurashi vibe from the art like you are. You mean the anime series and not the VN?

I meant the VN for the most part.
In order to look like Higurashi, the characters would first need to get their hands run over by a cartoon steamroller :P

And half of their face beaten with a bat.

How oddly specific you are.

Also, the first one reminds me of Harley Quinn!
