Lost in the Woods review

Lost in the Woods is an entry for the Halloween contest.

The whole game itself is maybe 5 minutes long, during that time you will:
  • Meet 4 very bland characters who only differ by their occupation.
  • Run down a very long path with a high frequency of encounters.
  • Mash the attack button in battles in order to progress (you are given 2 healing items, I didn't need either).
  • Be shocked at the state of the menu, most of the options are cleared of text but still accessible. That includes save, but you can still save?
  • Be disappointed.

Thanks very much for the review. Your criticism is very fair. I should have sorted the menu out a bit better but I would put this down to inexperience and to be honest, wanting to get it finished. As for the leveling up I didn't want over complicate things although seeing your play through, the game play does look a little bland. These are mistakes that I won't make on my next game.
Again thanks for the review and I really enjoyed the commentary on the video!

Well if it is your first game or one of your first then at least you can say it's both bug free and finished. Treat it is as a learning experience and you can only go up.
