mh i thought of it more as a variation of the already present battle system with the slight difference that the action is executed after a check who damages who -> wins through higher Duel Value. therefor action of both partys would have to be picked simultanuesly and maybe a little "clash" animation before one side recieves damage/status effects???
and perhaps it is possible to just push a menue between fighting choise and the actual action choise to insert a potion phase that doesnt end the action but let the player activate an item and then proceed to the menue with the action choise (skill/attack)
usually in the normal battle system everyone gets to execute whatever action they choose. i want to prevent that by making it into a more direct fight thats going on between enemy and character, from which the clearly better fighter would come out successful. im not quite sure how to put that into the game though xD
