A Box of Creepy Horrorstories

1-900-Gary is a short game about the mystery of Gary. Well, in two endings, at least.
It is and deals with those "creepy horrorstories" you dig up for halloween.
As such, it is not really scary, nor really fun, but for fans of those kinda stories, it is very well worth a shot. All nine endings can be gotten in about 10 minutes.
What a mighty nice guy
The main story is about this guy called Gary who receives a couple of prank calls which you enjoy. Too bad that he strikes back.
Now, you will find yourself in your room waiting for your friend making a prank call and sharing it online, but he doesn't turn up. Strange things occur and you either try to find out what's going on, or immerse yourself into all kinds of things ignoring what's happening. Like, going back to bed. It's not worth all the trouble anyhow, right?
The narration is simple. Even if it tried to be scarier than it is, telling us it's "spooky" doesn't make it for us. The soundeffects accompanying it were slightly unsettling, but aren't scary on their own.
Our protagonist (and narrator) was described to have a attention deficit disorder which is solely used for humor. Or the attempt at it. He strays off his ending narrations and can simply ignore what's going on entirely, but I did not find it particularily funny, nor engaging. It doesn't help that he almost always derails to the same topics despite different endings. That diminishes the variety of the endings, as the frame stays the same.
The endings themselves are for the most part unrealistic. Very unrealistic.
You can be beaten to a pulp by your sister rendering you unable to do anything else in the evening, for example, or travel to another dimension and disappear.
As these creepy horror stories go, nothing really makes sense. It's just an oddness that you can't explain - and while we often tie this to our child beliefs, I did not find it to have that impact.
If you like those kinda stories, dive right in! If you are looking for horror, an interesting setting or an coherent game, stay away.

Especially the cop-ending. I mean, why would they not even explain the father where they found him? Why would they just pick him up when he left the house 5 seconds ago? Among other things.
