A pretty piece of cake

Plot

The story is kept pretty simple and is understandable for every level of player intelligence. A girl that dreams and interacts with characters within that dream. I was kind of confused at first when I tried to get many endings but ended up with the same one over and over again until I found out about the requirements. But that was my own fault of course.
However, the true ending left me with a satisfying feeling, but also with questions like, why did she say that she wonders if anything had changed and why did her dad lock her up in the first place?

Gameplay

The gameplay was okay. It was simple, but the thing that kept getting on my nerves during the first playthrough was that I could interact with the characters or objects, only when I stood in a certain spot. That is why the first time I couldn't get the key out of the door which lead to a normal ending.

Puzzles

Everything was relatively easy to solve, except for Bunnilda's "placing the object" to the statues riddle, where I didn't understand crap about the story she was telling me. I just randomly placed stuff and voila, got everything right! But that was probably just me. Moving on, I found that angel fish glass tipping over thing upset me a little because I had to interact with it a few times before it finally did its thing. But plus points for the creepy room in the painting and the nightmare at the end! (you got me good)

Visuals - music

The visual display. I bet it looks enticing to everyone who plays it. This is the games strongest point and I can only compliment the one who made it, although it seems that the maker was more encouraged the few first maps and then the motivation got less? Maybe that is just me again, but the first maps had far more detail than the last ones you get to walk on. Anyway, this game looks totally pretty!
About the music. Damn, I had an earworm the whole day long from Dreaming Mary's soundtrack, but not that it was anything bad at all. I seriously love every music piece played in this game. My favorite has to be the soundtrack in Penn Guindel's room. Sometimes I stood there doing nothing on purpose, just to pay close attention to the music.

Characters

Mary (Mari) is seen from the very beginning that she is a unique character, even though she isn't very talkative, she radiates that happy, bubbly personality. I fell in love with her the first time I saw her design. Very good job. Same goes for the other characters as well. But, damn, Boaris! His face is priceless when you refuse giving him your petal!

Overall impression

This is a refreshing and creepily cute game with very attractive visuals, two faced characters and simple story (what about Mari's mom actually?). Except for a few things here and there, I really enjoyed it.
