Pokémon RMN Version Demo Finally Released

... And it only took me around four years to get a public release out!
Here's some info:
> Again, the demo "ends" around the point you reach Makskor Town, but feel free to explore from there.
> Your game's save file will be stored in your default "games" folder as oppose to the folder of the download. When the finished release is out, all you need to do is just play again and you'll be back where you left off. No copying needed!
> Unlike other RMXP games, this game neither supports a functional fullscreen nor joypad input. I asked the guy running the project about it, and he was like "nah~" and I was like ":/" and he was like "<3"
Other info can be found in this blog:

Enjoy! And if you happen to stumble upon a code, send me a private message. ;)
EDIT:
If you get an error that reads: "RGSS104E not found." Go to the configuration file named "Game" and open it in notepad. Under "Library=" change "RGSS104E" to "RGSS102E" instead, and the game should work.

Yeah! Awesome! I'm downloading it right now.
Four years is less than eternity, which the development time could very easily have become if creating the game had been left to someone less disciplined, talented and ambitious. From my perspective, you deserve nothing but respect for this accomplishment, even if it's just the first step towards the full game.

^.^ Thanks NS! I've been giving myself a needed ass-kicking and started to organize this massive project better. Doing otherwise was part of the reason this has taken so long.
I can't wait to see the outside world get their hands on this. People are going to go nuts!
Great job putting this all together, Ratty :) 4 years is nothing when you consider how long some people take for something that doesnt have the same scale or ramifications :p

Wow! Yeah, NS is right, Ratty! You deserve a MAJOR round of congratulations for this! I can't wait to play it :DDDDDD
Hell yeah! Let's see what new things you've cooked up! Can't wait!
Ahhhh, I've been waiting so long to get an Afropup you wouldn't even believe!
Good job getting this much done!

Hm, got an error about RGSS104E not being found.
So I changed RGSS102E to RGSS104E and it worked.
What's even up with that?

RMXP being annoying.
I should notify people of that.

Holy crap this feels like an authentic Pokemon game! Excellent work on this, Ratty!
There is an issue, though: the center and left Pokeballs both appear to hold Flaregon:
EDIT: Erm, wait. As soon as I clicked out of the right Pokeball, it immediately selected Fairimp. Not sure what's going on there, but at least you can choose any of the starters.

Interesting. I think that's a known bug on my end, but the problem is I'm at a loss as to how to address it.
The selection screen is tied to input events, and because RPG Maker doesn't have enough options to check input other than "pressing down a button," it tends to have stuff repeat constantly.
What may be happening is that after you're canceling, you are holding down the same input that's supposed to be checked while you are shifting the cursor to a new position, causing the condition to repeat itself.
I tried to alleviate it a bit by adding wait commands, but lordy this is a problem that has me confused.

Nice! Feel free to upload it to the media page when you get done.
Also, thanks everyone!
I have a gaming YouTube channel. Can I upload it to there and just link to it?

AWESOME. Gonna play this real soon. Great job on getting a playable demo out!
Yeah, I had faith this would see the light of day. There was way to much work put into it for it to go to nothing.
So far, so good! I'm enjoying it. There's some dialogue that could use tweaking but I'll point it out as I see it (doing an LP).
Aw, sweet, this is a nice surprise! What a perfect time to release a demo just a day after the new starters for the new Pokemon game were announced.
And don’t feel too bad that this took around four years to get a demo out. I mean, f**k, it’s almost been three years myself and I don’t even have a gamepage up yet for my game - so no worries.
Of course, you don’t want me to review this until the full version comes out, right?
