April didn't always know she was destined for greatness. It was a mid-summer day when she bit into an apple and saw how the seeds were aligned, like a star, that she realized she was special. It was written, in a moldy book in her parent's attic, that a child with ash-black hair who beholds a star within a red jewel would be a Hero. Apples count, don't they?

Soon after, she met Erwin and Gunn and, seeing that they were in desperate need of someone with her skills, joined their party. Together with the help of Gabby, Kent, and Blake, they defeat the Evil Overlord and her prophecy seems to be set in stone.

However... Tragedy befalls her.

As row upon row of razor sharp fangs tear apart flesh and searing hot saliva melts bone, only two thoughts run through her mind:
