Welcome to the Game Name Game event! The goal of the event is to take a game name from below, create a synopsis, mockups and concept art, and pitch it to RMN!

The genesis for this idea came from this game name ideas thread, and that is from where the list of available game names for this event have been compiled.
This is a short event.
You are not going to be making a game. You will be making a pitch and mockup and description of a game. The challenge will be to come up with a good idea for a game based on the name alone! Also, the game submission doesn't have to be funny or a joke - serious game idea entries are welcome.
First, pick a game name from the list below! And then provide the following:

Describe an example of play
Create 3 mockup images (minimum)
What question is your game trying to answer?
Pitch the Game!
Short pitch - in 15 words or less pitch your game.
Long pitch - write the content that would show up on the back of the game box
Description on RMN - write the description as you would present it on RMN
An explanation of the above submission requirements...
The type of game would be akin to its genre (or blend of genres), try to use a word that reflects what you actually do in the game. ie- "Platformer", "2D exploration", "top-down hack-n-slash".
For the coolest unique thing, you can summarize drastically. We don't need to know how it works, but we want to know why it's cool. ie- "you can manage four parties of heroes at once!"
Next give us some context: who am I, where am I, what am I trying to do? The plot will never sound good in ten words, but the fantasy might. You're a ninja? You're a knight? You're a ninja-knight saving kittens? You're a kitten-knight saving ninjas? Give us the setting or framework of where the game takes place, and the story behind it. You can go into greater detail here, if required. Also spoilers are allowed.
Now describe a moment the player can experience that's typical of the game, and illustrates the best of what you've just told us. Explain the gameplay.
The mockups can be concept art, rips from other games amalgamated into a new frame of reference (this is pretty common in the industry (most movie industry but hey)), game titlescreen, storyboards or wireframes. Try to explain the aesthetic.
Lastly, what question is your game trying to answer? You might not realize it, but your game is answering a question. Games are a form of self-expression (like any other artform), and as such give a venue for us to answer questions we might have. Seeing as how games are primarily about gameplay, it follows that your question will be about gameplay mechanics. Like, "What if you had a platformer, but played as an enemy?", "What if you extended the concept of the multiparty dungeons in Final Fantasy VI to the entire game?", "What if a traditional RPG had non-traditional classes?". Figure this out for your own game.
For the Short pitch, you have to get to the point, incredibly quickly, in plain and simple language. This is critical to pitching your game. GET. OUR. ATTENTION. 15 words might be too much! Shoot for 10 or less. Imagine you are in an elevator with a game publisher and you had 30 seconds to make your case. Go!
For the long pitch write the content that would show up on the back of the game box. A player is attracted to your cover art and short pitch, and grabs the game for further inspection. You have about three sentences to hook him and about three more to sell it. Go!
This time, the game is on RMN, and your potential player saw your main image, title and short description and clicks on your gameprofile. Write the description as you would present it on RMN, so that he PLAYS your game. Go!

- Post your mockup and pitch as a post to the event page for others to view in full BBC glory!
- Make as many submissions as you like.
- Multiple people can use the same game name if they want!

What Type Of Game Is This???
A single player / multiplayer free throw sports simulation basketball game that’s made in Rm2k3! (you know, the good one.)
And Why Should We Care???
#1: An African American main protagonist for once! (Face it, we more black people in our video game culture, and especially here on RMN.)
#2: RMN NEEDS more sports games added to their lineup, I kid you not. As a major sports fanatic, I am almost appalled with the lack of choices that I find on here to fulfill my precise needs. Sure, there’s Lockball, I guess, and I guess Barkley: Shut Up And Jam Gaiden kinda counts as something (although it’s not on the site at the moment, and it’s pretty much mostly an RPG last time I checked), but it would be nice to have some more sports related titles other than those two that I can recall.
#3: Another multiplayer game! What do we have, like, only six multiplayer games out of like the two thousand games that are here? That’s no good!
#4: We’ll finally have our very own basketball simulation game here on RMN! Yaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!

Who The F*** Is This “Brian Okam”???
I’m glad that you asked that question.
You play as college basketball superstar sensation Brian Okam, backup center to the unranked, 1-7 Appalachian State Mountaineers from North Carolina of the NCAA. Standing at over 7’ feet tall and weighing in at a somewhat 245 pounds, Brian definitely has the size to back up his incredible numbers of averaging 6.8 points in his short term career and a staggering 36% lifetime average at the free throw line. Not too shabby for a rookie. :D
Of course, with numbers like that, Brian wasn’t really the greatest free thrower on the team. Hell, most of time he was benched in favor of his other teammates and had to sit on the sidelines – waiting for his golden opportunity to get back on the court.
And on Saturday, December 8th, 2012 in a road game against Western Carolina University, he finally got his chance to shine.
Unfortunately, after a little bit of carelessness on his part, it was a day that will forever live on in empathy for poor ol’ Brian, for him, on social media, and the across entire world.
It looked like that this was going to be the end to Brian’s big basketball dreams of someday maybe playing in the NBA, and maybe even becoming a superstar…
But…
The competitive nature and stingiest of the heart of a champion continues to still burn brightly deep within the deepest regions of Brian’s soul. He knew that he couldn’t just walk away and give up his dream just because of one terrible misguided free throw attempt - oh no! The path to certain greatness always has a few stumbling blocks along the way, but the ones that manage to see through the many countless obstacles and conquer his or hers greatest challenges is what separates the pretenders from the contenders. Besides, Brian has already worked pretty damn hard at this school trying to become what he wishes to be, and that was to become the greatest basketball player of all time…but one step at a time, I guess.
In order to continue his climb towards the top of the mountain, he must work hard to correct his biggest failures and obvious flaws in his game, and prove to the entire world that little incident was just a minor default, nothing to be ashamed of.
Go forth, Brian Okam, legendary superstar in the making! Go forth and continue to work on those free throws and become the best player that you can be! Who knows, maybe you might finally become a full time starter one day…

*phew* I know that I’m cutting this thing a bit too close for confront, but at least I tried to get something out before the deadline closes soon. There was so much more I wanted to do and showcase on this project, but if it wasn’t for me having this skin irritation shit on both of my hands for most of the week where I couldn’t even move my fingertips ‘cause it hurt so much, I’d probably would have done a lot more, like show some actual gameplay shots / etc. *sigh* Oh well…
Keep note, I plan to actually do this project for realz once I’ve completed Monopolo’s remastered version, which should come out sometime around this summer. I’ve been quiet on that in regards to details, but I’ll eventually release a gamepage on it soon again.
Anyways, this was definitely an interesting type of contest, that’s for sure. Wow. These were all fantastic. Some of my favourites were: A Bridge Over Trolled Waters (I would play this definitely), Little Lost Star (so pretty!), Senpai's Notice (so polished!), Love Is An Open Wound, Oh My Guitar Hero, Imaginarium of Some Kids (that last screen reminds me of Limbo), and Brian Okam's Free Throw Challenge (the humour just can't be denied). It's gon' be a hard decision!
Never mind. I was stuck offline for the past three days, and my submission is still pending. Not that it would have won anyway, but wtf? It would have been nice to at least have my submission acknowledged instead of sitting there in limbo. Never could submit my zip. file.
Edit: Yes, Locke, I submitted mine, but it was never approved. Then I got stuck offline. I managed to get on for about five minutes yesterday where I found I still couldn't put my zip. file through. Tried to complain, but lost the signal too soon and couldn't get it back. Now, I still can't put my zip. file through, because my submission still isn't approved...and I get taken off the board for it. Not that anyone would actually check.

Well, it's past the due date now. But all you had to do was click the "submit" button on the top-right. Hm, I guess it's sometimes hard to see. People had the same problem with the "vote" button.
