In the form of a Game.

Well, the bad news is I do not see myself completing the Mattress Kingdoms adventure. Truth is, designing gameplay for one screen bed panoramas is just too confining. As much as the maps are cute, I don't leave much room for exploration.
I could make decent story for this, just not a game.

The good news is, I like Mattress Kingdoms too much to just forget about it. I see some community gamemaking event as a good way to release this. Maybe this is what a lot of you were expecting anyway; not a game but just some silly Release Something type effort. If this was you, then there's nothing to be disappointed about and you will see this pretty soon in an upcoming community event.

Community bed project

Mattress Kingdoms can use a lot of beds and mattresses to become worlds. You are invited to take pictures of your own bed if you want it to appear in the game. Anything submitted will be evaluated for quality and consistency standards.

Details:
So far my bed images are 896 by 576 pixels. Not all the beds have to be the same size, but need to be at least 544 by 416 to cover at least a whole screen. Also, try to take an appealing image that provides the most playable surface area on screen. Either top down or at an imaginative angle, but no angle where gameplay would have to be isometric. If you feel you can do a creative job submitting your bed/mattress decorated in rmvx rtp, go ahead and show me your effort.
