Earthless

The Owl of the Vagabonds was born in a boxcar. Its mother was an acorn. Its father was an ember. The owl of the Vagabonds watches over you - watches over us all! If you've ever kept a fire, there is the Owl, listening to your thoughts & dreams. To him, it is you singing. It is you greeting the coals' growing glow as if you was robin seeing sunrise. One could say that the Owl grants wishes - that he protects. This person would be right. The owl loves you - loves everybody. Even if you don't know what fire means. Even if your brain says 'campfire', 'marshmallow', 'barbecue' - he knows that your hearts says 'fire', 'people' - 'Fire Epic'. This is why he has sad eyes - because he cannot talk with you about the fire. He can only listen to your little soul crying.

When the moon comes up, the Owl of the Vagabonds opens its wings like a flower - a feathery white flower. It lives off the moonlight. It grows in the night! Feeding - until violet tears run down its face and its density bows the branch beneath its feet. And then . . .

It sings.
