Dragon Quest RPG Maker Remake | Final Trailer

Dragon Quest Plus will release, Friday November 10th, 2023!

This is a remake of Dragon Quest 1 with added content, quality of life features, and orchestrated OST. It will of course be 100% free.

The game can be found here when it launches. I would like to thank everyone who supported me and helped this become a reality after 11 years!

Is there an item that boosts monster spawn rates? If not could you add one? It'll make grinding a lot easier since sometimes I could go around a minute without a monster encounter. This would be great if I was travelling but when I want to grind it makes things painfully slow. OR alternatively make monster spawn rates higher around towns so grinding becomes easier.

There is an item that you can find that initiates a battle instantly. You should find it on your quest. It's called the Silver Harp.

Yes I'm playing on the patch and I replaced all the files from the 1.01 version with the 1.02 version.

Just to be clear the error doesn't stop me from playing the game. By opening the game a second time while the first one is stuck in white screen the second game window runs perfectly fine. I can save and load, save scum the seeds, level up etc. I can only close the first game window (the one that doesn't work) when a pop up showed up that said "System error. Code: 1447. The window does not have scroll bars.". After I said ok the window closed itself but i did take a screen shot before I did anything.

Huh, that sounds like an OS issue. I can't say I've ever seen this error code. If it still persists I recommend restarting your PC to clear any potential bad memory that's still in RAM that may be causing the issue. It's kinda hard troubleshooting an issue that hasn't come up in QA or test plays. If some way you could replicate the issue and record it that would be most helpful.

In terms of sharing, my preferred way is to upload the file on Google Drive or even archive.org and link it in Private Messages.

Yeah a screenshot would help but a video would work better imo. Still recommend that restart as well. As stated this is now a widespread issue so it probably is more of a local issue.

I find it odd that you're able to buy 9 of an item at a time but it only shows 3 in your inventory and you still lose gold as if you bought 9 of them. Is this a glitch or something? Furthermore the game doesn't stop you from buying more even though you can't have any more in your inventory so you just end up losing money. Can this be fixed?

Just an FYI, I pasted the 1.04 patch (clouds on) into v1.02 and now the game starts in Mercado with a generic hero.

Furthermore the game doesn't stop you from buying more even though you can't have any more in your inventory so you just end up losing money. Can this be fixed?

Which difficulty mode are you on? If you're on impossible the limit is set to 3 per item. I mean, I just ask that you read how many you have before you buy.

Actually what I'll do in the meantime is make 9 a different color to signal that you've reached the max on normal and easy. And I'll change the color of the 3 to yellow to signal max on hard.

Hi Nightfly,

I defeated the dragon lord, and ever since then, Roto's armor no longer heals me while walking around. Is this by design? I've tried to unequip and re-equip, and quit and reload, but it still doesn't work.

Terrific game though! I'm really enjoying it. Took me a minute to realize why the words NICE!!! were scrolling across my screen but I finally got it lol :)
