You are the main character in search of a precious stone. The stone consists of many human lives inside it to create the power people wanted to achieve. You are on a journey making friends along the way and completing quests for NPCs in need. The journey won't be an easy one and help from teammates will be needed.

-Choose character's name
-Choose from 5 unique classes
-Permission to BETA Test.
-First person battle system
-Enemy HP Bars
-Chance to discover about the game

I decided to create a game like this since I didn't really have anything to do with my life until I found out about RPG Maker VX Ace. This RPG Maker will help me practice and full fill my dreams and I hope you guys can enjoy the content I create. This is the first game that I'm actually releasing to public. I've made another one, but I decided to stop because I was messing around with what RPG Maker has to offer and there wasn't much detail and effort put into it unlike this game. I had to resend this around 5 times.
Thanks!!

Ok gave this a short go, I've left a couple of notes on some of your screen-shots in regard to a couple of things you might want to have a look at, but in regard to the game as a whole here are a few thoughts.

Being able to choose name and class right off the bat is a nice touch, but limiting the name to 6 characters may be a little too short. Alex is the old default hero but his real name is Alexander and that wouldn't fit with your restrictions.

Why does the item shop have a bunch of broken barrels in front of the inventory shelves? It's not very practical.

There is a sign in the 'camp-site' area of the village that is blank, a sign should always have something written on it, even if it is illegible.

In dialogue you've got your player character listed as 'you' it should be the name that has been chosen for him.

And more of those stones at the tops of steps. Trust me the shift key is your friend here.

In battle why is the waiting symbol a shovel?

The area around the boys camp-site should be safe from monsters otherwise why build a camp there?

...and when you try to speak to the boy there is a missing resource graphics/faces/main character and the game crashes.

Final note set your self extracting .exe to extract into either the downloaded folder or the c:\games folder, having it auto extract into a programme folder can cause some issues for some computers.
Thanks!
Well, About the Shovel thing.
I downloaded "The Largest Tileset" for RPG Maker VX Ace and I couldn't seem to find out how to fix the icon for it.. Any help?

About the crashing thing, Ever since I changed the name of the character's face to "Main Char" instead of "Main Character" it kept crashing some texts. I'll try to rename it back to "Main Character" and fix the issue.

Alright, I'll change the "You" thing to your character's name. But I don't think you can put code inside code... I'll try!

One more thing, I don't understand what you mean by: "And more of those stones at the tops of steps. Trust me the shift key is your friend here"

Last thing: The boy at the camp will be later on explained, he's a side character. I put him there to look like an NPC so that no one would know it's coming. I won't spoil for you.

Thanks for giving me all these suggestions, I will surely build on them!
**NOTE: Sorry if you played the game and couldn't do anything after the 2nd town, it's because the game is a BETA and I put it out there for people to get used to.

You worked out what I meant about the stones after looking at my comment on the screen-shot, right?

As to how to change the shovel into something else, sorry you may need to ask someone who actually makes games, I'm a player. I know about a few things since I've been around and read a few tutorials and the threads around here but something like that isn't something I know. Pop into the forums and post it as a question, I'm sure you'll get an answer.

I didn't get to the second town, I didn't get past the boy who offered me fish, that's when the graphic bug hit and it crashed.
Alright!

Yes I do understand what you mean by the stones, it's the little line of stone at the top of the stairs right? I removed that.

I fixed the graphics crash, it's all because I changed the name of the Face files. I'll try find out how to solve the shovel thing.
Thanks!

**BTW: How do you get those "M" points thing? You currently have 5849 and I have 31.

M is short for MakerScore also called MS around here, it's an indicator of things done on the site. I'm a reviewer more than anything else so the majority of my points come from submitting reviews. Your 31 points is because you've had a gamepage accepted, you've added some images to it etc. Most of the things that helps the site grow and become more comprehensive earns you MS. It's the community's way of saying thanks for helpng it grow. There is a little article about it at the bottom of the screen (every screen) under the Community heading, the second one down is What is Makerscore? Give that a read.
Can you tell me what you mean by: Final note set your self extracting .exe to extract into either the downloaded folder or the c:\games folder, having it auto extract into a programme folder can cause some issues for some computers.?
I want to begin with a positive note by saying this is a very interesting concept you got going on, and I would like to see this project once it has more meat on its bones.

Things you did right.

Selecting your class from the beginning immediately gives your game replay value, and more ways to approach team recruitment.

A loot system makes the game tolerable when in need of grinding, and same goes for weapon rarity. Especially for a treasure hunter like me.

Allowing the player to choose their name gives them a more personal relationship with the characters in a game.

Things you did wrong.

5 unique classes that play the frigging same... The lack of a level 1 skill, and the stats being similar to each other makes it really hard to believe I'm playing a different class.

Releasing a demo when you have around 15 maps available makes for a total waste of time. You could have waited a bit before you put this out to the public.

The starting weapons don't really change much. Seriously how does a pistol only increase my attack by 1? I must be really buff, and the gun is just slowing ME down.

Things that can Improve.

The character itself. You have five classes. Why not have five avatars. There's a lot of vx ace sprites that's available. You don't need to generate your own. You could even make people select their genders. Copy, and paste the stats, and voila! 10 unique characters!

Context for your story. "who am I, and where do I belong?" Leaving your character as mysterious as possible if fine, but your character has no purpose. All I know is I woke up, and had to do something.

Make party members customizable. the first party member that joins you is a Warrior, but what if I picked warrior as well? Something you can do is an introduction to new characters like so...
Oh hey that's my friend Christo! he's a...
-Mage
-Warrior
-Rogue <---
-Healer
Right! Christo's a Rogue!

For the love of all that is holy. Give everyone a level 1 skill! Nothing I hate more then mashing ENTER for all battles.

I hope to see what your made of! Good luck my friend.

Alright! I'll do my best. I'll be adding most of the things you just said and work on the others. Thank you for the feedback ;)
Are you using Yanfly's Ace Core Engine? If so, find "ANIMATION_RATE" and set this to 2, this will smooth the battle animations ^.^

:) Alright! I always have room for improvement! But sadly it's piling up on me too fast.. It's fine though.
I gotta say... You're pretty ambitious making a website around your game this early in development.

The RMN site is probably the best location anyways, so I don't expect much traffic hitting your website anytime soon.

This probably made me look like a stalker.
You guys are the best! It seems like it's rare for people to see Ambitious people and people that don't rage when their game is rejected, happened to me around 6 times..
That's easy to explain really.

We're a community of gamers/artist/designers that's hanging on to a genre of gaming that's dying out.

For every game. For every story that's ever been dreamed of. Characters beyond our imaginations. We see it. We see the potential that every world has no matter how poor the design is.

That's why every game maker that does their best to entertain us has a good reception here.

Although there are some games that are just REALLY bad, but none the less we appreciate the effort.

So on behalf of the RMN community. Thank you for your contribution!
