Arcana Kira playable ALPHA 7 Released

Full localization for Japan, Germany, & Russia is now partly integrated into the current playable alpha of Arcana Kira.

As always, each Friday marks the release of a new playable Alpha of Arcana Kira, playable to all who have pre-ordered the game. Here's what's new since Arcana Kira ALPHA 6 from a week ago:

> Changed most of the GUI for items, skills, leveling up, menus, so that the text is translatable

> Added a new ini entry in the game section called language, which has 4 acceptable values: EN, RU, DE, and JP

> Added initial translations in Russian, German, and Japanese.

> Updated the launcher to include the ability to select a langauge and to have it change the launcher in real time (not totally done yet, but close.)
Added in fog to world map and dungeons, which has multiple layers and effects.

> Switched to a completely new tonemapper and readjusted the HDR and Bloom to make the entire game more colorful and bright.

>The title screen will now lower the size of the Arcana Kira title if you are running in a small resolution, allowing you to press all the needed buttons to start a new game, load, or exit.

>The changes to enemies in alpha 6 (the ability to see them all on your minimap) caused enemies to freak out when they were near you (I left a collider on their minimap arrows.) This is now fixed.

>As always, many little things too trivial or relating to short term bugs that were patched before they had time to become relevant enough to report on. Happens everytime :)

I Will Tattoo Your Name In My Armpit!?!?

Have you ever wanted to tattoo the name of strangers into your armpit? Yeah, me neither, but that's just one of the stupid & terrible ideas I came up recently for my newest game's IndieGoGo campaign. Please take a second to look over this entertaining trainwreck of a "funding" campaign

Yeah, my campaign features perks such as "Name My 1st Born Child" and other such "borderline TOS breaking jokes." I could recap more of what's on there but please just click the link, as I'm not retyping all the crazy crap I did on there.

Arcana Kira is in Alpha development and is barely 3 months old (from initial conception, not just the start of programming.)

Enough about that though. Here's some actual progress on the game itself, highlighting one of the many differences between last week's Alpha 1 release, and this week's Alpha 2.



Just for the heck of it, I thought I'd show 10 minutes of game play as well. The video shows my giant empty game world of Arcana Kira alpha 2 (144km/sq.) I should've taken a more populated enemy path journey towards the boss, but if you fast forward to the end you'll see my unleveled up character get slaughtered by the first boss.
