CloseJeez. I'm not sure I can even finish this game. Since, it looks like the teleporter system might be messed up in the castle.
I've tried following the instructions displayed on the stone tablet before you enter the teleporter section which would be 1, 3, 4, 3, 1, 4, 3, & 2.
I've also tried combining it with the segment found if you go on the path opposite of the entrance to the teleporter area which would make the total password be 1, 3, 4, 3, 1, 4, 3, 1, 3, 4, 3, 1, 4, 3, & 2.
Regardless of which code I use. I can't seem to get any further in the area. So, it makes me wonder if one of the doors in the area takes you to the wrong room. Or if the code given in the game is inaccurate.

M'kay, I'll check it out. A got a similar complaint earlier, I'll go and check it out.
EDIT: Okay, so upon looking, judging from my inexperience of making complex puzzle years ago, I think the simple solution would be to enter the rooms until you are equal to 22. Once you're at the number 20 or near 22, keep taking the teleporter 1 room and it should fix itself. It's just a adding game essentially. I'll be fixing the hint with the new version in due time.
...Shit, it leads to an optional boss. Alright gimme a bit. X_X
EDIT2: Okay, so doing the same method, it's teleporter 2 that needs to equal 21, and taking it will lead you further into Pandemonium.
I'm going to fix the fuck out of this puzzle when I get to it while I'm going through this.
