This was an obsession.
The last important thing I did with my life was produce a play last February. Since then I've been obsessed with making this game, and it's probably on account of this game that I haven't found a job. It's funny, because this game is actually something I first designed as a table-top RPG a couple years ago, and I obsessed over it then too.
The idea behind the table-top game was that you deal cards from a deck upon entering a new room to determine the contents of the room, and you also roll a die to determine the number of new exits. This became the basis for the random world generator.
This game has been in production for a year probably, and most of that time was spent programming the custom interface. I didn't want to make a game page until there was a downloadable demo available; alas, practically all the coding has to be in place for it to be playable. Well now it is. All that must be done now is flesh out the game with more content.
