@RukasuWYZ: in your content the player seems to have "Sato" as a last name ...

Did you find this somewhere in the game or in these threads or has that been your own decision?
Very interesting, since Sato is also Akari's family name...

In a post lost during the server-down he did mention this as a mere coincidence. The only other content I know of that mentions a last name of Kazuhiko is Riho claiming she likes his name better then Kaneshiro.

Speaking of loses during the power-down: somehow multiending_v1.zip vanished from my locker ... I re-uploaded it.

Maybe it would be a good idea to check for other losses? I don't know how often the locker is backed up, but there seems to be a gap of at least ... maybe 2 weeks.

*Edit: official release day of multiending was 04/22/2016 - so any file uploaded to your lockers after this date my have gone *poof*
*Edit2: On the other hand some other file in my locker dated 04/24/2016 survived ...
While I was at it I uploaded a fresh version of winggirl ("development snapshot")

*Edit: no longer available to save space.

According to this thread, the backup was up to April 28th, and the site came back up on May 2nd. So, whatever posts/uploads that occurred on the 29th (when the server actually crashed) were essentially wiped. It's possible earlier posts/uploads may have also been affected.

Saying that, it... might be time to update the all-in-one custom content ZIP file with Wolfpack, Multiending, Winggirl, and Ijona on'nanoko. Thoughts?
I don't consider WingGirl anywhere near finished. But it's playable and - as I hope - enjoyable.

So - if you want to include it: be my guest.

Teaser: I'll try to find a nice one soon (TM)
Content: Tachie, Story, Profile
Characters: Harada Himeko, Fujikawa Sayumi, Fujikawa Mayumi
Credits: Used both "medium built girl" and this tachie generator plus some of the SOSC backgrounds.
Designed for "clean mode ON", but some crossreferences if "clean mode" left "Off".
Download: currently here.

Bugs: Mayumi's transition from shy to "hyperactive" might need a bit more explanations, missing bed time, phone and dating stories.
Mayumi might "evolve" during a date ;) ... some stories just don't seem to fit, to few discission to make, to few alternative paths some missing filler stories ... and plenty others ;)

*Edit: about Wolfpack - I thought it was official part of the all-in-one custom content ZIP already?

I explicitly remember a post about how I forgot to include Wolfpack with the first version of that file. As for Winggirl being incomplete at this time, this is not an issue. Literally, the only requirement to be included in the all-in-one custom content ZIP file is for me to have a copy of said content. There are numerous incomplete characters in that file with which Winggirl is in good company with!

Though, I'll certainly take your notes into consideration (particularly in regards to the known bugs) when I update the blog associated with that download.

*Edit: Don't worry about the picture either. That's my job too.

In that case: the stories 7804 and 7937 both have all the girls in them.
(But be carefull with 7937 please as it contains spoilers)

*Edit: here are some examples for nice teaser-pics (unresized screenshots):

Hopefully finished version of winggirl available:

Teaser: Maybe this one
Content: Tachie, Story, Profile
Characters: Harada Himeko, Fujikawa Sayumi, Fujikawa Mayumi
Credits: Used both "medium built girl" and this tachie generator plus some of the SOSC backgrounds.

*Edit: minor bugfix regarding a double triggered story in a near impossible to hit side route.
Puzzling question (for me):

The game is set in Japan, there's a Shinto Shrine in game.

The chararcters are supposed (at least most of them - nods to Robin) to be Japanese and to be talking mostly in Japanese (translated only for us people in front of the computers).

How should a 21st century Japanese school girl say something semi-religious in this context?

I'm refering to stuff like "oh my god" or "for heaven's sake" (I sidestepped this for my content - but I am still curious).

The girl in question is supposed to have a Shinto background but not being too religous herself.

My best idea for "for heaven's sake - why did you ... " would be something like "which kami made you do ..."

If a character would spout phrases like that, "For heaven's sake" might be more like "For yomi's sake"? This one I am less certain on, and would defer to Dozen's judgement on this matter. As for "Oh my god", it might become something like "By the kami" or maybe, simply, "By the spirits".
Well - I used "oh my gosh" and "what got into you" instead ;)
And several times someone says something like "Ah heck - ".

And as I understand "kami" can refer to almost anything supernatural from spirits and elemental forces to powerful dieties (I wouldn't call Amaterasu a mere "spirit").

About yomi ... The wikipedia article doesn't sound too much like "heaven" in my ears ... more like the greek Hades (dark and not-to-friendly place where the dead go to stay ... not as a punishment ... only because they are dead).

... but this all just between wikipedia and me ... I never been to Japan, nor can I read Japanese (nor did I read any Japanese myth in any language).

It also said...

...later myths include notions of resurrection and even Elysium-like descriptions such as in the legend of Okuninushi and Susanoo.

...this. This is partly why I wish to defer to Dozen on this matter. In regards to Japanese culture and history, she's proven to be several hundred times more knowledgeable about such matters than I am.
Ah, I seemed to have learn something ... is it correct that in Japanese there is normally nor difference between singular and plural? It's one "kami" as well as many "kami".

That confused my quite a bit with the word "tachie" before.

Is this correct?

Well - seems like Shinto is real old and has never been really formalized into a written-in-stone religion like the ones we are used to ...

Yes, the Japanese language does not use a separate plural form for nouns.

Weird. Well I got used to english words like fish and sheep ...
RC2 of WingGirl ... I doubt I can find many bugs more on my own since I catch myself starting to skip forward in the dialogs (after playing it for the like hundreth time or so).

A few thoughts on ages ...

Playing Hinami (built-in #7) she claims she's "almost 2 years younger" then Kazuhiko. This somehow implies that Kazuhiko is on the "old" side for a 2nd year high school boy - which would be 17.

It also implies that Hinami is 15 (maybe close to 16).

Does anybody know (or care in the context of this game) when the school year starts in Japan? Or when during the 2nd school year Miki's bet started (I always thought it was at the start of their 2nd year, but I did only play the intro twice and can't recall it for sure)?

Should I concern myself with the Zodiac signs in this context - like Aquarius is younger or older then Leo ... or would any error here pass under artistic licence?

I'm mostly brain-dead at the moment, but, I have no idea when the school season "starts" for Japanese students. Nor when it "ends", for that matter. I'm mostly sure they do not have a whole season off, such as summer vacation that American students do, but they still have a spattering of vacation/holidays that they get off for.

As for when Heartache occurs in the school-cycle, your guess is as good as mine. I don't get the impression that it's winter, but, I don't get the impression that it's summer either. That still leaves half the year available, though.

I got the impression that the game is meant to start fairly close to the beginning of the school year, which in Japan would be early April. 101 days would thus put the game end in mid-July, and 151 would put the ending in late August / early September. That seems plausible.

Since the Japanese do not generally use the Western zodiac, I believe artistic license is already at work :D.
