Is it normal to spend more time browinsg RMN than actually working on my game?

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

As the RMN member with the highest post count of anyone who isn't a moderator, I am surely being completely objective when I vote yes.
Since most people who use RPG Maker make games in order to interact with people in a personal way... why go through all the trouble of making a game when you can just play around with forum interaction in your head?
About 24 hours of imaginary forum bulletins versus over 3 years of your personal life making a technically demanding product, often for no recompense? Absolutely no contest.

I guess you're both right. Still, I do need to get to my stuff ASAP. Heck, my game doesn't even have one finished map yet D:
I think you speak for most of us here...on the internet. Thankfully, I've somehow become disciplined enough to have it the other way around.
What are the next phases?
Phase IV is the jaded mocking of people on the forums from online chat channels such as Slack or IRC, and dropping in to post sarcastic, facetious, or scathing comments from time to time.
Is there anything... beyond stage IV?

Yeah. I like that you acknowledge there's a way to moderate both site browsing and game dev. I still struggle with that.
Edit: Oh, and it is easy to do.

In phase V you go from worrying about accumulating makerscore to worrying about accumulating random quotes on the top of the website. I currently have four that were said by me, and two more that were insults directly addressed to me. That seems like a disproportionately low number compared to the amount of stupid shit I say on the forums; I think there's a conspiracy.
In phase VI, you start accumulating personal contact info for people you met on RMN. Not people you're working with; just random jerks.
In phase VII, people start mentioning you in threads that have nothing to do with you, and you show up later in the same day to respond without being told about the reference.
In phase VIII you start competing for the top rank in the most useless rankings in the monthly stats. Not the meaningful rankings like game downloads or reviews written; those have been long since abandoned. Only the ones that show what a worthless tool you are, like post count and private messages. You start joining forum games for no other reason than to get more montly posts than the moderators.
In phase IX you become a moderator. Your soul is lost. Let your story be a warning to friends and loved ones.

So it's only downhill from here? D:
