LOCKEZ'S PROFILE

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I like gray and brown a little too much, I suppose. Does this make me pro game designer material?

Anyway, the following is a very mild change that I think makes the map more readable:

I can recolor things all day. Especially doors, apparently? For some reason my project's charset folder already has 86 doors in it, purely for the purpose of looking nice with different floors and walls. I don't even have 86 maps though. I think I have a problem. Is there a support group for this?

Here's an edit with three things changed:

First, obviously, I completely averted the perspective issue by just having both stairways facing south. Player walks a little way along the top of the pipes to get to the other stairs instead. This is probably a "clearer" alternative for the sake of the user interface, at the expense of a little realism.

Second, I made the stairs pop out from the end of the pipe more. In your version they touched the ground only one pixel to the south of where the pipe touched the ground. This perspective didn't make sense unless the stairs were completely vertical and is part of what made them look like just part of the pipe. Craze did the same thing in his edit, you just didn't notice I guess.

Third, to further help sell the fact that they're stairs and not part of the pipe, I made them darker to differentiate them from the texture on the top of the pipe. This possibly wasn't necessary though, since the second thing was probably enough.

Sprite Base, Feedback, etc.

Oh Ma Gawds, working on hair is the worst pain ever:

The side-view of the purple-haired girl near the upper right corner looks like she has a beard. I think you should try to avoid covering any character's mouth, even though it makes sense to do so. Try making the long strand of hair curve like 45 degrees backwards before looping back forward into the little circle.

Here, feel free to use this if you think it's better. My edited version is on the left, your version is on the right:

You could maybe have it waggle back and forth between these two positions as she walks, though.

I really like your faces and hair by the way. Even though the eyes are still crazy looking, with the massive irises and no pupils

Billy Lit's intro

Virginia is one state and West Virginia is another state.

Anyway, we need a wrestling rpg. Someone who actually understands how grapple moves are chained together to inflict damage and win fights in real life would be an excellent candidate to create a turn-based game system based on that style of fighting!

Covering 100% of the screen with menus is pretty ugly.

What are you thinking about right now?

That they keep making identical pokemon games isn't surprising. They keep making them because people keep buying them.

That people keep buying them is what's surprising.

It does kinda look distracting to have them overlapping like that, but at the same time, it's a nice way of making the window with the character stats stay visible while you're choosing a skill.

Having three different fonts clashes pretty badly though. Definitely fix that.

Why my game is still pending?

Man. You should just put a notice that "your game will typically be reviewed within the next 30 days" when someone submits a game, so the entitled bitches will quit bothering you guys.
