RPG TSUKURU 2000
Description
RPG Tsukuru 2000 is a tile-based point and click engine tailored towards creating SNES-era-like RPGs. Using its straightforward interface, developers can quickly produce RPGs with all of the standard RPG fare: heroes, equipment, dungeons, random battles, spells and events. Graphics, music, sound and control input/output are all handled by the engine. A limited scripting system allows for greater flexibility and creativity.
RPG Tsukuru 2000 runs in 320x240 resolution with 16x16 pixel tiles and 24x32 sprites using the .PNG image file format limited to a 256 color palette. The default battle system is a frontview system reminiscent of early Dragon Quest games, with invisible player characters and static monster sprites. The engine uses the MIDI file format for music and WAV format for sound effects.
RPG Tsukuru 2000 games typically require the accompanying RT2k Run-Time Package (RTP) to be installed on the player's machine.
