WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

Eww. I can't stand the look of most sea food. Who in their right minds would like to eat little Cthulhu spawns? xP
Try one of these instead. It's kinda like a burger, only better. =P

Yeah, that monstrosity is all presentation. It probably IS delicious, but as a general rule, if you have to shell and de-vein your pizza, the cook probably missed a step.
Please don't shell and de-vein me. That sounds rather painful.
Half the fun in eating lobster is in de-shelling (or whatever the proper english word is) them. In Sweden we even have a holiday where you put on funny hats and eat lobster and drink heavily.

That looks part delicious and part impossible to eat.
I see BM got banne... You must realize that was his plan all along? He's got an unshakable grip on all of us; I just learned to embrace it.
The P is for Perseverance, after all.
Me and the room mate had a late American/super late Canadian Thanksgiving/Early Christmas dinner tonight. I feel like such a fatty, and it's wonderful.
God and there's cheesecake in the fridge for later. FUCK.

i'll probably get to 100kg before christmas. yay

Playing through Legend of Mana i noticed a few artifacts that might shed a light on the process behind the backgrounds. I'm fairly sure that those white jaggies / borders are leftovers of white space from the paper! Or if it is really digital art, just hushed erasing, though I find that unlikely. From this evidence I'm fairly sure the backgrounds were drawn traditionally and layered, each layer (foreground, background etc) on its separate drawing. Hmmmm... I'll look for more evidence.
EDIT: HOLY MOLY EGO

just stumbled across a list of the top ten bowser themes. i didn't know that there were more than ten mario games. why are people still interested in mario ? like is there still novelty or is it blind fanboyism at this point? i'm curious.
in other news, that pizza looks nasty

It's because Mario games are still consistently fun, interesting, and highly polished, and they fit into a broad range of genres like platforming, party, puzzle, & RPG. That and the fact that literally anyone and everyone can get into them and enjoy them on some level, and well, yeah, I'm sure there's a bit of fanboying in there too as per usual.
I can't recall ever playing an outright bad Mario game in my life, so that's something. Average, sure, but bad? Not a chance.

Super Mario 3D World is some of the most fun gaming I've ever played. ditto for New Super Mario Bros Wii

Mario is still ultra super fun. It's also the absolute easiest video game series to break into; even people who have absolutely no interest in video games will buy and enjoy a Mario game.
I agree with Pizza, I've never played a bad Mario game.

mario is strong and kind-hearted and I love him

Shigeru Miyamoto's love and intelligence for game design has kept Mario alive throughout the years. Just listening to him dismantle why every step of World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. was the way it was is inspiring and really speaks to his own brilliance. Having a full team to realize his ambitions is why, 30 years later, we're still being given games for the Mario and Zelda franchises.
To my recollection, the only Mario games to truly tank critically were the educational ones developed by third party teams.

Wasn't mario is missing made by a third party too?
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Mario stars in a SHITLOAD of games that have absolutely no goddamn thing to do with the mushroom kingdom. A lot of the Mario sports games and Mario casino games and Mario puzzle games and Mario whatever the fuck else he gets crammed into are really terrible and have tanked badly. But... maybe not as badly as if they were non-Mario?
In most such cases, it seems like "Mario" is just a code for "easy and family-friendly." That's really all anyone cares about, I guess.
There probably aren't as many real Mario platformer games as there are real Zelda adventure games. But I guess the RPGs and the Luigi's Mansion games should also count as "real."
