RMN Underwater Pixel Quilt 2022

Hello everyone!

It's been 3 years since the last pixel quilt, so it's high time for a new one! This time the theme is...

UNDER THE SEA

The rules are simple!
  • There are 25 64x64-pixel tiles in this quilt, and we're going to create some fun, insane art together! Just call any of the 25 tiles you want to draw, and get pixeling!
  • The image is a .png file you can copy from this page. Make sure to save your image as a .png file again before posting it here so there is no loss of detail.
  • You are free to create whatever you want, but make sure to match the edges of the tiles next to yours, if they have been filled in already.
  • If someone else has already claimed a tile next to the one you're calling, please wait for them to finish it so you can match your edges to whatever they come up with.
  • Please wait with calling a tile until you know you have time to make it. Otherwise, people might have to wait for you for a long time.
  • The quilt is meant to have one tile per person. However, if activity dies for a few days, we can do some repeats. But hopefully we'll get 25 different artists!
  • You don't have to be a master at pixel art to join! (I sure ain't) We're all here to have fun, so don't feel like you're not good enough!
  • Most importantly, have fun!

Here are all the previous pixel quilts, if you want to check them out.

The quilt is done! Great work everyone!

[MAFIA] Star Trek (Limited Reveal) Mafia - Day 1

Star Trek (Limited Reveal) Mafia

Following CAVE's janitor game last time, which lead to the most crazy awesome scum play I've seen in quite a while, we're going to go even further in this Limited Reveal Mafia game! This will be an open game, that I will try to make work for however many sign-ups I get. The flavour is Star Trek, but it will not be alignment indicative. This game will start no earlier than June 2nd to avoid conflict with the Theme Roulette event.

What is Mafia?
Wikipedia
Mafia (Russian: Ма́фия, also known as Werewolf) is a party game created in the USSR by Dimitry Davidoff in 1986, modelling a battle between an informed minority (the mafia) and an uninformed majority (the townspeople). Players are secretly assigned roles: either mafia, who know each other; or townspeople, who know only the number of mafia amongst them. In the game's night phase the mafia covertly "murder" a townsperson. During the day phase, all of the surviving players debate the identities of the mafia and vote to eliminate a suspect. Play continues until all of the mafia have been eliminated, or until the mafia outnumber the townspeople. A typical game starts with seven townspeople and two mafiosi.

Standard Roles and Rules:
Before the game begins, each player is sent a PM assigning him or her a role. The contents of the PM cannot be shared with other players. All roles are assigned randomly. There are three basic types of roles that you can get: Town, Mafia and Independent.

Town
If you are part of the Town, then your objective as a group is to stay alive and try to find out who the Mafia are. Since you cannot communicate with other players outside of this thread, you must work together and weed out who is lying and who is not. Townies who die still win when the rest of the town wins.

Mafia
The Mafia (aka Scum) on the other hand, have a significant advantage over the Town. They can communicate with other scum members outside the thread during night phase. During the night, they can come together, discuss, and kill a townie. If all goes according to their plan (which it might not), then that townie will be dead -thus cannot post or vote- for the rest of the game.

Independent
As an Independent, your job is to survive until the end of the game. Depending on your role, this may constitute killing of all Town-aligned players and Mafia and being the only player left alive or simply staying alive regardless of whether the Town or Mafia win, and having a separate win condition. An independent may or may not be in the game.

If all Mafia are killed, then The Town Wins!
If enough Town-aligned people are killed that the amount of Mafia is greater than or equal to the amount of Town-aligned people, The Mafia Wins!
If an Independent successfully survives and satisfies their win condition, they Win!

Game Structure:
The game starts out in something called a day phase. In this phase, all players who are not dead may participate in discussion as well as vote for who gets lynched (note that you can also vote for no one getting lynched). The day phase will continue until a set deadline has passed or when deciding vote is reached.
Once the day phase is finished, the night phase begins. No one may talk in the thread during this phase, meaning that only players with night actions play a significant role. Night actions are abilities possessed by special roles that can be used to alter the game during the night phase. All night actions, including the scum's kill, will be sent to me via PM(unless otherwise stated). Once the night phase deadline is reached or when all actions are sent in, I will PM everyone involved with their results and then a new day phase will begin. If anyone dies, then that person will be revealed.

Rinse and repeat until the game is over...

The Rules:
1. VOTING: Voting should look like this:
#Lynch Jeroen_Sol or #NoLynch
And if you wish to change your vote, first cancel your first vote like this:
#Cancel
It needs to be bold and with a # in front of it, to make it easier for me to make vote counts.

2. PARTICIPATE: It's not too fun when half of the players are always missing in action and only have a few posts. Try to post a few times during each day phase and contribute to the discussion in some way. This is also very important for the town's survival. If you don't participate, you are at high risk of being modkilled or replaced.

3. DON'T CHEAT: Although it'd be difficult for me to find out, just don't do it anyway. You'd be ruining the fun of the game. And if I DO find out...

4. IF YOU ARE DEAD, STAY DEAD: This game does not involve zombies. If you die, then don't post anymore. This of course doesn't apply if your role specifically allows you to speak while dead.

5. EDIT RULE: NEVER EVER EDIT POSTS. If you think your post has awful grammar, just make a new one to correct it.

6. DO NOT QUOTE PMs: Never quote from a PM I send you. Creating false PMs is also forbidden. You may paraphrase information from PMs, but never literally quote them.

7. ANTI-STALLING RULES:
- 1: If nobody dies two day and night phases in a row due to any faction withholding kills, the game ends in favour of whichever faction(s) did not withhold their kill in those two day and night phases, or was the last to do so if all factions did.
- 2: If a nolynch happens at MYLO (non-scum = scum + 2), scum must attempt to kill the following night phase.

Game-specific Rules:

Limited Reveal: When a player dies, only their alignment will be revealed. Their role will remain hidden.

List of Roles:

2 Coroners:
Two roles guaranteed to be in the game are a Town Odd/Even Coroner and a Scum Even/Odd Coroner. There will always be one Odd and one Even Coroner, but which is which will be determined by a coin flip.
About Coroner:
A Coroner can target a dead player at night to learn their role. Any dead player can be chosen, regardless of when that player died.

About Odd/Even:
An Oddrabbit role can use their power on nights 1, 3, 5, etc. An Even role can use their power on nights 2, 4, 6, etc.

1 Scum 1-shot Strongman:
About Strongman:
A Strongman can choose to activate their night action to make the nightkill unblockable that night. The kill will still succeed even if the target has been protected by the Doctor.

1 Town Death Miller:
About Death Miller:
The Death Miller will receive a Vanilla Town role PM, but will flip Scum upon death. When investigated by a Coroner, the result will be Town Death Miller.

1 Town Doctor:
About Doctor:
A Doctor can target a living player at night to protect them from the nightkill. This version of the Doctor can self-target, but cannot target the same player two nights in a row.

1 Town Parity Cop:
About Parity Cop:
A Parity Cop can target two living players at night to figure out if they are of the same alignment. The result is either Same (Two Town or two Scum) or Different (One Town and one Scum). Since the Death Miller is a Miller only upon flipping, they are counted as Town for the Parity Cop.

5 Vanilla Town. The Vanilla Town role PM won't be a lie this time, I promise. Except for the Death Miller, where it is a lie, of course.

In other words, the setup will be:
  • Odd Coroner
  • Even Coroner
  • Doctor
  • Parity Cop
  • Death Miller
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Strongman

OR

  • Even Coroner
  • Odd Coroner
  • Doctor
  • Parity Cop
  • Death Miller
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Vanilla
  • Strongman

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vanilla Town Role PM:
You are a Vanilla Town!

Abilities:
None

You win when all scum are killed.
You lose when the scum outnumber the town.

Game-specific Rules:

Time travel:

The main gimmick of this game is time travel. The following list of time periods exists in the game:

  • 65000000 B.C. - Age of Reptites
  • 12000 B.C. - Age of Magic
  • 600 A.D. - Age of Fiends
  • 1000 A.D. - Age of Peace
  • 1999 A.D. - Age of Lavos
  • 2300 A.D. - Age of Ruin
  • End Of Time: No effects

Each time period will have a global effect which can be positive or negative on all living players. On top of this, some time periods may have additional effects on specific players based on their magical element. The effects of a time period will become public when a day phase starts in that time period. Each day, living players can vote on what time period to travel to in the next day phase like #Travel 1000 A.D. The next destination must be chosen from the list of unexplored time periods, and is decided by plurality vote. (Lynches are the standard majority) Should the game last until the 7th game day, all time periods will become available again, this time of course with their effect already known.

When signing up, please provide a #Travel vote for day 1. This time period will also be chosen by plurality.

Abilities and MP:

Abilities in this game will cost MP to use. As such, all abilities in this game can be interpreted to be X-shot. All players start the game with 3 MP. It is possible to lose or gain MP under certain circumstances.
Some characters may have both day-phase and night-phase abilities. Unless otherwise stated, you are allowed to use at most 1 ability per full game day. This means that using a day ability prevents you from also using a night ability the following night.

Day actions are to be sent to me via PM during day phase. They can take effect immediately, or at the end of the day. When using a day action, I will make it public in my next votecount that a day action has been used, but not what action or by whom.

Vanilla Town Role PM:
You are a Vanilla Town!
You have no magical element. You start with 3 MP.

Abilities:
None

You win when all scum are killed.
You lose when the scum outnumber the town.

Mafia - Behind the Mask

This is a semi-open setup mafia game, intended for 12 players: 9 town, 3 scum, no independents. Before I disclose the setup, however, I will need you all to sign up with a superhero name of your choice. Marvel, DC, custom, anything goes! Create your own for all I care!

- 2: If a nolynch happens at MYLO (non-scum = scum + 2), scum must attempt to kill the following night phase.

Game-specific Roles and Rules:

There are two notable changes from regular mafia in this game. The first is the Masked Thread. This thread is only accessible during night phase. Everyone may only post under their superhero name in the thread. These superhero names are the ones that everyone signed up with, but they have been redistributed under the following constraint: Nobody has the same superhero name they signed up with. Any night action must be declared in the masked thread.
On top of this, a doublevoter can be elected each night using #Elect. Voting happens the same way as it does in the main thread, with a no-elect happening if no hammer is reached by the end of the night. Each superhero name has one vote. The doublevote power lasts until the end of the next day phase.

Night phase is split into two halves of 24 hours, with some roles declaring their night action in the first half, while others declare it in the second half.

The second change from normal mafia is that this game has no nightkill. Instead, all scum have access to the #Unmask action. If scum successfully matches a player with their superhero name, that player dies immediately. Format: #Unmask Jeroen_Sol Superman
The number of times scum can collectively attempt #Unmask per night depends on the number of living players that night, and is given by the following chart:

List of roles (town, scum, either):

1x Name Switcher
During day phase/twilight, via PM, may target two town players. From the next night onwards, these two players will have both their roles and superhero names switched. They will remain switched for the rest of the game. 1-shot.

2x Mason
May communicate privately out of thread in mason chat.

1x Tracker
May #Track a player each night to learn who they targeted with a night action/unmask that night. Declares their action in the first 24 hours of night phase.

1x Watcher
May #Watch a player each night to learn who they were targeted by with a night action/unmask that night. Declares their action in the first 24 hours of night phase.

1x Beholder
May #Behold a player each night to receive a summary of their night action result. For example, the result "While tracking PlatinumAshes, you discover that he targeted Jeroen_Sol" would be summarized to "Jeroen_Sol". Declares their action in the first 24 hours of night phase.

1x Roleblocker
May #Roleblock a player each night to prevent them from using their night action. Cannot block #Unmask. Declares their action in the second 24 hours of night phase.

1x Rolestopper
May #Rolestop a player each night to block all night actions used on them that night. Cannot block #Unmask. Declares their action in the second 24 hours of night phase.

1x Impostor
Does not have their own superhero name. During day phase/twilight, via PM, may choose a living superhero name. The impostor may post under that name in Masked Thread during the next night phase. The player belonging to that superhero name may not post in Masked Thread that night. Impostor does not learn the target's role, and as such, cannot perform any night actions. However, the impostor can #Elect, and #Unmask if impostor is scum. Impostor cannot take the same name on consecutive nights. If impostor is town, can only be unmasked with #Unmask Player Impostor, and not with whatever name they are posting under that night.

3x Vanilla/Goon
No special actions

Sample role PM:
You are Superman, a Vanilla Town!

Abilities:
None

You win when all scum are eliminated.

Young Frankenstein the musical - Original Dutch cast

Not sure if this completely qualifies as a valid thread for this place, but it is creative, and without a doubt the most important performance I've ever done and probably will ever do. So I'm making a thread about it anyway.

Last weekend I starred as the lead in the very first Dutch performance of the musical Young Frankenstein by Mel Brooks. (Hence the avatar) I want to share some pictures with you guys.

[MAFIA] The Resistance: Avalon Mafia - GAME ON

The Resistance: Avalon Mafia

This is a semi-open setup mafia game, intended for 9 - 16 players. The game is based on the card game "Resistance: Avalon", and thus experimental. It relies more heavily on day interaction than most games. There are no night actions apart from the scum kill.

What is The Resistance?
Wikipedia
The Resistance is a social role-playing card-based party game. The game's premise involves a war between government and resistance groups, and players are assigned various roles related to these groups. Like other deductive reasoning party games, The Resistance relies on certain players attempting to disrupt the larger group working together, while the rest of the players work to reveal the spy working against them.
[...]
During each round of the game, the player to the left of the previous Leader becomes the new Leader. The Leader selects a certain number of players to send out on a mission (the Leader may choose to go out on the mission themselves), starting with Mission 1. [...] All of the players then discuss the Leader's choice and, simultaneous and in public, vote on whether to accept the team make-up or not. If a majority of players votes no to the proposal or if it is a tie, leadership passes on to the next player to the left, who proposes his own mission. This continues until a majority of players agrees with the current Leader's mission assignment. After five rejected mission proposals in a row, the Spies automatically win the game.
[...]
Once a mission team is agreed on, the players then "go" on the mission. To "go" on a mission, players on the mission are given a set of Mission Cards, one for indicating Success, the other indicating Fail. The Resistance must turn in, face down, a Mission Success card, while the spies may either secretly turn in a Mission Success or Mission Fail card. The cards are shuffled and then revealed. If all cards show Success, the Resistance earns one point. If even one card shows Fail, the spies have sabotaged the mission and earn one point.
[...]
The game continues until one team accumulates 3 points.

Game-specific Roles and Rules:

This game is semi-open. This means that the final setup will contain no roles outside the ones outlined below, but may not contain all of them.

Each faction has a win condition and a lose condition. A faction wins if it satisfies its win condition, but doesn't satisfy its lose condition. Otherwise, it loses. The game ends when any faction wins.

Missions:
Each day phase, a team of 3 people must be formed to go on a mission. Teams will be formed by discussion. Anyone may propose a team, and other players may vote to either #Accept or #Deny it. If more than half of the living players accept the team, it goes on the mission. All (scum) members of the team then notify me whether they want to #Succeed or #Fail the mission. Only Minions of Mordred may choose between success and failure. Loyal servants of Arthur succeed the mission automatically. If all team members choose succeed, the mission succeeds, and one random player will be publically revealed as not Mordred at the end of the day. If any team member chooses failure, the mission fails, and one random player will be publically revealed as not Merlin at the end of the day. If no team is formed before the end of the day, it is treated as a mission failure. If a scum team member doesn't hand in a vote before the end of the day, it will default to #Succeed. This does not apply if the team is formed so close to the deadline that a vote can't reasonably be expected in time. (No gaming the system. I'm looking at you in particular, psy)

Nightless:
Since there are no night powers other than the scum nightkill, scum must choose their nightkill target during day phase. The lynch and nightkill will then happen in the same post, and the next day phase will start immediately afterwards.

Roles:
Loyal servants of Arthur (Town)
Win condition: All key scum are dead.
Lose condition: Merlin is dead.

If Mordred is in the game, he is key scum. Otherwise, all scum are key scum.

Loyal servant of Arthur (Vanilla)

Number: Any
Abilities: None

Merlin (Informed Flagbearer)

Number: 1
Abilities: Knows who the Minions of Mordred are, except Mordred. Does not know their exact roles. Loses the game for town upon death.

Number: At most 1
Abilities: Knows who Merlin and Morgana are, but not who is who.

Lancelot (Bulletproof Guard)

Minion of Mordred (Goon)

Number: Any
Abilities: None

[MAFIA] Problems at the Precinct.

Problems at the Precinct

"There goes any hope of leaving early tonight." Dr. Stiff sighs as he sees one of his colleagues transporting a stretcher down the hallway. "I was not informed of any incident, Constable Yousless."

"Very sorry, sir coroner sir! They said it was urgent and all, and I kind of assumed they had already told you, sir!"

"What could be so urgent to bother me at this ungodly hour?" Stiff draws back the blanket to reveal the face of the precinct's most accomplished detective, Vicky Timme. "Ah. I see."

"Isn't that Detective Timme, sir?"

"You weren't informed of this?"

"No sir! They just told me to take the stretcher straight to you, sir!"

Detective Timme only has a single bullet wound in her chest. Stiff puts on his gloves, and extracts a bullet from it. "Did anyone report accidental friendly fire?" he asked, studying the bullet.

"No, why?"

"Because this bullet was fired by the same model of gun issued to our detectives. Detective Timme was killed by one of our own."

"But if nobody reported it, sir!"

"That means we have a proverbial 'dirty cop' in our midsts, yes."

"What do I do, sir? Should I inform the chief?"

"No. Call Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services instead. The chief may be in on it."

This is a closed-setup mafia game, intended for at least 9 players. If more than 9 people sign up, I can probably tinker with the setup a bit to work with that. Less is not possible, however.

[Poll] Discord mafia: Aye or Nay

So I had this idea to run a quick chaotic game of mafia over on Discord. Day and night phases together would be around 20 minutes, so we shouldn't run for more than an hour amd a half at most. We can use voice chat and make everything even shorter, or we can just use Discord's IM.

The game I want to host is from Town of Salem, and is called Vigilantics. Everyone is either a vigilante who commits suicide the night after killing another vigilante, or a witch who can control a player to target another player with their skill. The witches don't know each other's identitities, and the goal of both teams is to kill the other team.

My question is a bit more general though:

Would you be up for playing a quick game of mafia on Discord over voice chat?

Mistranslation

I came up with a potentially fun game, so I'm gonna try it out and see if it's any good.

The game is called Mistranslation.

Someone says two English words, and the goal is to find a path from the first word to the second word in as few steps as possible. The possible steps are:

  • Translation: You may translate your word from any language to any other language. Verbs may be conjugated as pleased. In languages with inflection, words may also be inflected as pleased.
  • Homophone/Homograph: You may take a word from any language that sounds the same or is spelled the same as your word.

An example:

I say "Yes" and "Shark".

Someone could then connect the words as follows:

1: Yes (English)
2: Hai (Japanese) Translation
3: Haai (Dutch) Homophone
4: Shark (English) Translation

Whenever someone finds a path, they get a point, and can post two new words. Do try to make sure your two words are solvable before posting them though.

If you find a shorter solution to two words that have been posted earlier, you get two points, but do not get to post new words.

Let's see where this goes!

"The" and "Nun"

Hold on, Shiro is trying to tell me something.

What's that? Numbers are awesome? And I'm acting too much like Cave Johnson from Portal 2?

Right, so apparently I have to tone it down a bit. Call you less names and stuff. Also, apparently I was supposed to explain the rules before giving you the characters. I say screw it, this is only an alpha test, I don't have to listen to anyone, least of all some stupid white goody two-shoes. I'll do whatever the hell I want! If I want a bunch of teenagers to murder each other, more power to me! Who cares?

So, the rules. This part is extremely long and boring. I'll put that shit in hide tags as well. Read it, or don't. I know I sure as hell won't.

Rules:

First of all, a large portion of this game will be played over on a seperate chatroom website, www.chatzy.com. Please make an account there so we can invite you into the rooms. You'll need to give us the email address you used to sign up so we can invite you into the rooms. So if you feel uncomfortable about sharing your email address, please sign up with a fake one.. The chatzy threads work with passwords, so you don't need to give us the email you signed up with. We'll just send you the links and passwords via PM. The main thread here will only be used for sign-ups, messages from the kumas, class trials, and morning assemblies.

Basic rules:
- No editing posts.
- Don't talk about the game outside of this thread and the chatrooms on chatzy. (References are fine, just don't talk about anything that's going on in the game.
- You are free to roleplay as much or as little as you want.
- You may only spend time alone in your room when you are sleeping or crafting.
- Sleeping when you do not need any sleep will not be tolerated.

Phases:
The game is split up into several phases, with 5 phases making up one day. Each phase lasts 24 hours.

The first phase of a day is the morning assembly in the dining hall. This phase can be used for group discussions in the main thread. Attendance is not obligatory, but people who don't attend will not be allowed to post in the thread during the assembly.

The remaining 4 phases are played on the chatroom site.
At the end of each phase, a room must be chosen to move to.
After arriving in the room at the start of the next phase, each player can choose to:
- Use one item from their inventory.
- Use their personal ability.
- Perform one main action.
Each of these three actions can be performed at most once per phase.

The main action can be:
- Examine the room. (A certain type of item can be specified so it will always be found if it exists in the room)
- Attack another player in the room with a specific weapon.
- A room specific main action. (E.G. Crafting: Craft an item using a specified list of items. Cooking-related crafting (the only type in this alpha) can be done in the Kitchen.)
- An unlisted action specified by the player. (Creativity will be rewarded... or punished. Upupupupu.)

Players can also freely talk interact with other players in the same room. This can range from simply talking to gifting items.

Stats:
Each character has 6 main stats that affect various things in the game:
- Health (HP): Determines survivability. If your HP drops to 0, you die. Some items or skills give protection (Ptc). This will absorb damage so you lose less HP upon being attacked. The protection vanishes after absorbing damage.
- Strength (Str): Determines base damage while attacking another player.
- Agility (Agi): Is compared against the opponent's stats for various non-lethal actions.
- Perception (Prc): Determines the amount of items found when examining a room. The amount of items found will be 2/3*Prc, rounded upwards.
- Crafting (Cft): Enhances the effects of crafted items. Each point above 1 will increase one of the item's stats by 1.
- Inventory Size (Inv): The amount of items that can be carried. When examining a room, you may pick up as many items as you want, and swap them with items in your inventory, as long as you carry no more items than your inventory size.

Public and private actions:
All main actions are public. This means that if you use a main action, everyone in the room will be able to see that you used that specific action. They will not, however, see the result of the action. (Except in cases where a major event like someone dying happens.)

Non-main actions and Move are not visible to other players, unless stated otherwise.

Fights and player deaths:
First and foremost, every player may only kill at most two other players. If one player causes the death of more than two others, this player will be executed without trial.

If an attacker attacks someone but is unable to kill the target, the target can choose to either fight back until either player dies, or to run away if their agility stat is greater than or equal to the attacker's agility stat.

The damage dealt upon attacking is calculated as follows:
dmg = a.Str + a.Mgt + a.Prf - b.Ptc + Ofg
where a.Str is the attacker's strength, a.Mgt is the attacker's Weapon Might, a.Prf is the attacker's profiency in the wielded weapon, and b.Ptc is the defender's protection.
Ofg is the Off-guard bonus. If, at the end of a turn, you decide to stay in a room instead of moving to a different one, you can hide in that room. New people entering the room won't be notified that you're in the room. You can still access the room's chatroom, and as such, can overhear all conversation. However, if you post anything in the chatroom while hiding, or use any main action, your cover will be blown and you'll come out of hiding status.
If you attack someone while you're hiding in the room, you'll get an Off-guard bonus of +2 dmg. (Unless this is prevented by abilities like Manako's)

If the target does die in one hit, the amount of struggle and evidence left behind will depend on the amount of overkill; The more overkill there is, the less evidence will be left behind.

If a dead body has been discovered by at least two players, where the murderer does not count as the first person to discover the body (but can count as the second), all players will be alerted that a body has been found.

Class trials:
5 phases after a body discovery message, a class trial will be held to find the murderer(s) of all officially discovered bodies. These class trials will last 72 hours, and operate like a one-day mafia game. All players can freely talk about their discoveries and suspicions during these trials. At the end of the trial, all players have 24 hours to send their votes to either kuma brother via PM.
If the player with the most votes turns out to be the murderer, then the murderer will be executed and the remaining players are set free. If the player with the most votes is not the murderer, all other players will be executed and the murderer is set free.
Should more than one body be found during an investigation, one class trial will be held for both victims. You will be asked to individually vote for the killer of each victim. You are allowed to vote for one person multiple times if you think they killed multiple victims. Only if the murderers of ALL victims are identified correctly, the innocents will win. Every killer who successfully avoids being caught for at least one of their crimes wins.

Fatigue:
At least one phase per day, you must move to your room and spend the entire phase sleeping. Sleeping will restore up to 2 HP. You may choose to ignore this rule, but for every day without sleep, you will gain one point of fatigue (Ftg). Each point of fatigue lowers your perception, strength and max hp by 1. There are several ways to get rid of fatigue:
- Several items, like coffee and tea, lower fatigue.
- Sleeping more than the required one phase per day will remove a point of fatigue for every extra phase slept.
- If you sleep on phase 5, you can choose to sleep in during the next day's morning assembly. Doing so will remove one point of fatigue.

Poison:
In order to poison someone, you can do two things:
- Poison one of your items with a poison from your inventory and try to get someone else to ingest it.
- Poison one of someone else's items directly with a poison from your inventory.

Poisoning one of your items will always work, but can be spotted by anyone in the room with:
b.Prc + b.Prf > a.Agi + a.Prf
Where a.Agi is your agility, a.Prf is your poison proficiency, b.Prc is the other player's perception, and b.Prf is the other player's poison proficiency.

If you try to poison someone's item directly, you do an agility check:
Success if a.Agi + a.Prf > b.Prc + b.Prf
Where a.Agi is your agility, a.Prf is your poison proficiency, b.Prc is the opponent's perception, and b.Prf is the opponent's poison proficiency.
The act of poisoning someone's item directly can again be spotted by any player in the room satisfying:
b.Prc + b.Prf > a.Agi + a.Prf

Different poisons have varying levels of speed and perceptibility.

The three possible speeds are:
- Fast-acting: Death at the end of the phase of ingestion. Guaranteed kill unless immediately treated with an antidote. If the poisoned player is below half health, death is immediate and the poison cannot be treated at all.
- Regular: Death at the end of the phase after the turn of ingestion. If the poisoned player is below half health, death will occur at the end of the turn of ingestion.
- Slow-acting: Death at the end of the phase two phases after the phase of ingestion. If the poisoned player is below half health, death will occur at the end of the phase after the phase of ingestion.

The three possible levels of perceptibility are:
Low: Only players with high perception and poison proficiency will get suspicious of poisoned items or realize they've been poisoned.
Medium: Players with high perception and poison proficiency will immediately get suspicious of poisoned items. Players with average perception and poison proficiency will get a small hint. People with average or high perception and poison proficiency will immediately realize they've been poisoned.
High: Only players with extremely low perception and poison proficiency will not get suspicious of poisoned items or immediately realize they've been poisoned.

Who cares about those freaking rules, bruv? What? Writing them took you very long? I know, that's why I had you do it in the first place! And why can't we start the killing yet anyway? Oh, patience shmatience. If you want to do things your way so badly why don't you do the introduction as well, huh?

Right. I'll let Shiro take over from here cuz I'm bored out of my mind. Don't go anywhere.

Right. Shiro here. I apologize for the way my brother's been acting. So let me take away some of your confusion. Long story short, we're having the six of you kill each other. When somebody dies, we hold a class trial. If the killer can escape conviction, they win this alpha. If the killer is caught, everybody else wins the alpha. Yay! Now, I will actually have to have you all read the rules above. It's actually really important, even if Kuro seems not to think so.

Now, to spice things up a bit, Kuro and I have decided to hide some ingredients around the building so you can cook up a snack or two when you're feeling peckish. You'll see that these snacks can be quite useful in a pinch. But beware, safety goes before everything, so we won't have you kids preparing food outside the kitchen!

Basic recipes:

- Biscuits: Sugar + Flour
- Coffee: Sugar + Coffee beans
- Tea: Sugar + Herbs
- Sweets: Sugar + Fruit
- Brownies: Cocoa + Flour
- Hot cocoa: Cocoa + Sugar
- Ramen burger: Flour + Meat
- Focaccia: Flour + Herbs
- Fruit tea: Fruit + Herbs
- Apple pie: Fruit + Flour
- Meat balls: Meat + Herbs
- Grilled fish: Fish + Herbs
- Noodle soup: Fish + Flour
- Rubbish: Any combinations of two or more ingredients that isn't a recipe, or form a recipe that isn't known by the character.

An item's effects are determined by its ingredients. The effect are:
- Sugar: +1 Agi for the remainder of the phase.
- Cocoa: +1 Str for the remainder of the phase.
- Meat: +2 HP heal.
- Fish: +2 HP heal.
- Flour: +1 Ptc for the remainder of the phase.
- Coffee beans: -1 Ftg.
- Herbs: -1 Ftg.
- Fruits: +1 Prc for the remainder of the phase.

Effects can be amplified by increased crafting skill. The full game will have unedible crafting as well, but this alpha will not.

Well then, now that that's all out of the way, I think we're almost done here. I must say, it'd be very despairful if we threw you in a building while you have no idea what it looks like, but there's no fun in a killing game where everybody just stumbles around in the dark. Therefore, down below you see the floor plan of the building. The rooms with dashed walls are sound-proof, meaning that no sounds can come in from the outside and no sounds can go out from the inside. I do believe the rest is quite self-explanatory.

Map:

Alright, I believe that's all there is to sa-

Upupupupu! Are we finally done here? Finally! Lord almighty, Shiro. I gotta say though, it's pretty impressive how you can make even a killing game sound boring.

Right. So here's what we're gonna do. Or more specifically, what you losers are gonna do. You're gonna go into the replies, say "I'm in, your bearevolence!" and choose your character. And then you're gonna play this alpha and die an utterly meaningless and desbear-filled death. Capice? Good.

See bruv, that's how you convey a message. You're so helpless sometimes. My god.
