Featured Blog on Game Pages

I am a frequent user of the blogging feature for our game pages. The more I submit blogs for my games, the more I come to want a certain feature: allow users to change what blog entry is displayed on the front page.

I am not sure if this has been suggested before or is in the plans for a future update, but it would be very useful if one would like to leave a high priority blog entry on the front page yet still be able to submit other blogs to the game page. I imagine there would be a button in the blogs section while editing game pages, and whichever entry has the checked box will be on the front page.

For example, I just submitted a long and image filled blog for Diabolica, but I don't want that blog on the front of my game page taking up all that space between it and the comments section until I submit another entry.

Just an idea. Thanks!

e: on the RMN backlog i saw some sort of javascript feature, "show more", that allows you to hide a good portion of the text and to view the rest you'd have to click the show more button thing? would that solve this problem?

Supreme Court strikes down bans on gay marriage in US

many of you are failing to realize by arguing that "the bible says don't wear mixed fibers" or what have you, you're insinuating that Christians are required to be kosher and follow those primarily jewish laws/restrictions. wearing mixed fibers and eating shellfish isn't something Christians have to acknowledge, because they do not follow many of the rules that are in the old testament. at least know the scripture and it's context before arguing for/against it...

gay parents also literally will never be on the level of pressuring and forcing-to-live-their-lifestyle that straight parents will be. gay people go through that shit. they know what it's like having your parents wanting you to be straight, there's no reasonable expectation of your child being gay...

and liberty, having queer friends literally does not absolve you from being bigoted or hating them. just like having black friends absolves you from being racist/racially discriminating. i have christian friends b/c i was one formely but on the topic of homosexuality they say "love the sinner, hate the sin" which really isn't accepting that part of me and they'd vote against same-sex marriage if they could.

@ ppl saying queer is offensive. queer is a re-claimed word that queer ppl originally intended to be a positive label but had since developed a negative connotation. it is being re-claimed by younger lgbtq+ people since it's use as an insult has been on the decline, and is an inclusive umbrella term.

Politics within the "queer community" (generally not an offensive term and absolutely a community in the sense that people within it regularly have dialogue via various methods about the state of their community and it's relations to others) are a completely different and complex issue, PentagonBuddy. Though it is really a bunch of separate communities with different interests/attributes but are commonly united by their "queer-ness".

Trans people are ignored severely, as are the other sexualities and genders that aren't cisgender gay and cisgender lebsian folks, in queer politics and the advancement of our rights. People can have many dissenting opinions about the specifics but the next steps are clear, and the majority of them involve progress in the rights of trans/nonbinary people.

our government is recognizing marriages, and since our government is secular it doesn't need to consider that christians and whoever else believe that it is sinful. i don't want fucking brownie points with your religions people, you're not doing me a favor or anything to convert me. thanks.

all of this nonsense just because some people wanna get married :x

the thing is RMN isn't a safe space for lgbtq+ people. it's just like any other public space. it's not an unsafe space either. what CashmereCat said wasn't good at all, but at the same time it wasn't so outright *dangerous* that it deserved all of the criticism it got on an RPG Maker forum.

as much as i hate that there are people who hate us still, whining about it and writing a sassy internet response really isn't going to change his mind or make RMN a safe space for me or any other queer person. CashmereCat saying that has little to no effect on queer people, or their ability to make games...

but it was very rude to make that sort of comment on a topic that was a cause for celebration for queer people

queer is an acceptable umbrella term that covers all sexualities (and gender identities?). it is by nature more inclusive than an acronym so i use it way more than lgbtqia+

unfortunately there are a couple reactionaries who won't abide by their pronouns!

but in all honesty CashmereCat is an amazing RMN user with a lot to offer us, his comment didn't bother me at all! it really wasn't all that inflammatory.

"Or maybe you don't like when they prevent people who stick their dingalings in dudes' butts from adopting kids." - lockez

this sounds drastically different from you liking subway. there was so much vile substance in that little part there, you're not slick at all. keep your bigotry to yourself. thanks. same-sex couples are perfectly capable of raising children, and are actually more likely to *want* them than opposite-sex couples & whether or not i want my penis in a man or a woman or whoever else has absoulutely nothing to do with that.

nothing you said has made sense so far and i think you should probably just tone it down a little

it's very concerning that the lives of queer people are subject to such debate

like, their very existence and whether or not they are deserving of the same rights as others is a debate people everywhere are having, like it's somehow an option to deprive them of it?

i understand the need for rational debates & etc but come on...

if you want to outlaw same-sex marriage the only secular way (that i can think) of doing that is getting rid opposite-sex marriage too aka making them not recognizeable by the gov't and not eligible of privileges from the gov't and therefore making it strictly religious or at least not tied to government. that way at least everyone has it or doesn't. otherwise banning same-sex marriage makes no real sense? i dunno.

i think the ruling was an awfully bold flex of muscle from the supreme court, but justified regardless. the advancement of queer rights is viewed as a facet of progress so marriage equality is just one step towards it.

also, all arguments from religious standpoints are pretty much invalid. legalizing same-sex marriage through our secular government requires no consideration of their opinions truly because it doesn't inhibit the ability of others to practice their religion.

what it comes down to is how moral others perceive same-sex marriage to be and whether or not marriage should even be recognized by our government. i'm gonna guess ppl like libertarians and what have you would rather government not recognize our marriages while more authoritarian alignments would have the opposite be true. i'm rambling at this point bye

this was an AMAZING thing to wake up to. there's still a lot more queer people must do to liberate ourselves, but i'm definitely celebrating regardless!!

i was for a while worried i wouldn't able to get married by the time i was like 30 but!!! yay!
