The green colored background is due to palette issues. Paint is either saving as a 24-bit BMP or the wrong 256-color palette.
Your best bet, as a total newbie, is to design your sprites and paste them into an existing bmp exported from your project (or work within the exported image). Make sure Paint is saving it as a proper 256 color BMP. If you open paint, open a 24-bit and save it, then try to open a 256-color and save it, it'll save it as the wrong palette. It's kind of screwy that way. Typical MS.

Also, there's Character Maker Pro. I only use it for identifying palettes personally, but it is a drawing tool that might pique your interest.

There are a few from the Release Something, aren't there? Like In Search of Immortality and Lunar Wish : Orbs of Fate, for example.

I'd get in my car and drive god damn fast for the hell of it, since I won't have to worry about Ontario's stupid Street Racing law (>50kmph, you lose your car and license).

On the topic of the film, it looks like another one of those dumb movies where average people suddenly undergo immediate infantilisation and lose all rational thought as soon as central authority disappears. THe premise posits that crime is a result of some kind of pent-up negativity, which is just flat out wrong and stupid.

On the topic of real world application, so many people would hunker down for those 12 hours that very little crime would actually be done. It doesn't take long for your factory to be ruined beyond repair, your shop to be robbed to the point of bankruptcy, or your family to be physically/mentally scarred for life. The most you'd get out of this "purge" is a few anarchists throwing rocks through windows and one or two hitmen's jobs made easier.

Question about bounties : If I upload media today (or a review, since its me <.<) but wait/hope for the bounty a week or two from now, can I link it then and claim? Or will I have to upload my review/media on the day of?
