Description

The theme is: HEROISM AND/OR VILLAINY

In case you missed the explanation or event the last time around...

"Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls; I'm sure many of you have wished to work with someone new, especially someone well known and respected, or maybe just someone who's gotten your attention and appreciation of their work. Perhaps you aren't well known but would like to meet and collaborate with some people, show what you got? Are you just looking for something a little different? While not all of these can be promised, it would be nice to be able to do some of these, yes? I give you, McBacon Jam."



Here are the basics this time around:
  • Any engine is fine.
  • No restrictions on resources used. Also, as last time, and as it stands, commissioning an outsider is fine so long as it isn't that much work and doesn't effect the team dynamic.
  • This event will run from (August)8/19/2015 to (September)9/18/2015
  • I will announce a theme on the 19st; that is when your team can officially begin, as last time.
  • Team sizes must be a minimum of 2 with a maximum of 4 (remember, this is about collaborations). Solo entries will not be accepted for this.
  • If you already have a team decided, be sure all members join said team.
  • If you don't have a team, but want to join one, make a team with just you in it. If someone joins your team, make sure everyone in said team talks about it too.
  • Will be using a "pool" for people who want to try things in a more "random" fashion in place of what was reserves.
  • Team setups cannot be the exact same as they were in McBacon Jam #1. Each new jam means different team arrangements!
  • If bizarre circumstances occur or if you're having some team issues, let me know and I will take care of things accordingly.




Badges!
Only 1 badge will be handed out, depending on the circumstances:
McBacon Jam 2: MBJ2 Support Hero: 10 MS
  • Given to people who help me out with this event but don't join a team and submit a game.

McBacon Jam 2: MBJ2 Builder Hero: 25 MS
  • Given to people on a team that end up making something reasonably playable and meets the theme (or if I'm feeling nice, can at least make a really good gamepage, have an amazing video and images showing it off, and give me the impression that they'll keep working on it)

McBacon Jam 2: MBJ2 Cake Hero: 40 MS
  • Having everything done on the 9th (old deadline) will earn you this

I'd like to tag along if someone'll have me? My vacation is when this runs so technically I have lots of time. Technically a lot of said time could also be spent in locations without internet. But still. I have plenty time.

Well dang. This would have been the perfect chance to make a game and get more experience in a team environment. But between school starting the week after the jam starts and working at my job I don't think I'd have enough time to contribute well to any team I would be on... I can probably help out with the jam in a small way if that's needed though.

Edit-Question for those that were in this jam last year: How much free-time would one need to realistically participate?

Team Room for One More? Yuri might be a tough act to beat. Though, it's probably not a good idea to come into this kind of event with the thought-process of wanting to "beat" anybody!

I'll probably make Team Forever Alone, if I don't manage to join a team. (That isn't a bad thing but I won't really be able to do anything as if I remember correctly, you need at least two people, so... I wouldn't be able to do anything.)
