FIXING REFLECT BUG?

So, I remember there being something that fixes this bug with Reflect (why they didn't make Reflect let you reflect either physical, magical, or both type of abilities, or specific abilities, I'll never know but...). Does anyone so happen to have said patch, and how I would go about setting this patch up? And would anyone else that downloads the game need said patch as well, or will having the exe file from the game work for them?
Cherry had it, i think.
...if only he would post his fixes and utilities here, so that they aren't lost to the sands of time...

yes, I had this problem a while back, these fixes were amazingly well. And Pepsi, that avatar is hilarious! Where's it from?
So...do I need both of those patches, or just one will do? Like, do I need 1.08 to use 1.09, or can I go straight to 1.09?

If you use the standard RPG Maker 2003 exe, use 1.08.
1.09 has a bunch of extra capabilities, but it's more for advanced users. There's an example project included with it if you want to check it out. Back in '07 I helped the writer of that patch fix a bunch of bugs, and then Cherry helped with the reflect bug.
Well, 1.09 is NOT PowerMode. See http://cherry1.ch.funpic.de/rm2k3changelog.htm
But PowerMode is BASED ON 1.09, thus patches which work with 1.09 mostly work with PowerMode too.
The choice 1.08/1.09 depends on the version of your RPG_RT.exe (rightclick it, go to properties -> version to see the version).
The official download for my reflect fix is http://share.cherrytree.at/showfile-1890/reflectfix.rar
There is information how to apply the patch. If you use the suggested tool (Hyper Patcher 2), you cannot do anything wrong because the program won't let you.

Well I applied the 1.08 patch using the Hyper Patcher tool, so I'm assuming that that fixed it. Will have to test it later on with a Reflect skill to see if it worked correctly of course, but~
Ok, so I used the 1.08 version link above to make my 2K3 go to 1.08 and I applied the patch via Hyper Patcher from that link, but now my enemies won't even USE buffs on themselves. If it's a buff, like Regen or Reflect or Haste, they just sit there and do nothing ever...
EDIT - Ok, so I copied/pasted my old RPG_RT.exe, .ini, .ldb, and .lmt so I had the original version before patching up (I'm assuming that's all I needed to do to restore back to the old version?) and it seems that my monsters still won't use buffs on themselves. They'll use healing moves, moves that increases elemental resistances, and increases stats, but not status buffs...
EDIT #2 - Ok...so apparently they won't use the move ever unless it affects HP/MP/Other stats, so I did that. And after testing Reflect after applying the patch...it still crashes (not to mention there's a really weird bug I noticed). I'm uploading a vid of this for you guys to see, as well as screenshots to show what I did. Expect a new post for those.

Ok, so here's what I got.
I open the Hyper Patcher, and go to my directory as shown here:

Next, I go here in the Hyper Patcher tool:

After that, I find the Reflect patch to patch this up with (it's at 1.08 thanks to the above link earlier):

And then, I get this which I ASSUME it means it patched up? I don't know since I can't click OK:

And so, after all that, I go to test Reflect and...it still crashes the game. Once the vid gets uploaded, I'll post that here as well.
And the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOJAAANZ60Y
Some...weird stuff. I know that it crashes yeah, which I don't know why when I used the above method to do so, but the double Reflect thing is...odd, to say the least. And it doesn't do it with EVERYTHING as you see...makes no sense!

Oh....well, don't I feel smart >_>;;
Well...I guess thanks for letting me know about that. The things I don't do sometimes @_@;; So about that double animation with Reflect...is that supposed to happen at all normally? Not with the patch or anything (I don't know if it'd do that with the patch per say or not), but with the default? Or is that part of the bug with Reflect? lol

No, this is normal. For 1.08, it's also normal that the reflected animation is always played on hero #1, even though the skill was reflected to another hero...
This is solved in 1.09, though.
http://cherrytree.at/downloads/RPG_RT-Sammlung/RM2003/v1.09a%20Englisch/RPG_RT.exe << This is a 1.09 RPG_RT.exe, replace your RPG_RT.exe with this one and patch it again to get a 100% working (and nicely-looking) reflection.

Ok, so I've noticed a couple of very strange things in 1.09
In the Switch/Variable screen (F9 in test play, etc), why is the On/Off called Act/Dest??
When an enemy uses the Double Attack command, why does it say Status Abnormality when it's used?
Why is the text font completely different than in the default?
I'd like to at least fix the second issue if possible. The first one isn't that big of an issue for me since well, I know what's On and Off. Just weird that it changed to that of all things.

1) F9: This is a translation error. 1.09 was translated by somebody different.
2) Use "XN Resource Editor" (google it), open RPG_RT.exe, go to "String Table" and change what you need to change. Again, this is an error from the translator, I think.
3) New version, different translator... you can use Hyper Patcher 2 again; on tab "Sonstiges 1" you can change the fonts (first two input fields).
