They were actually considering a proper sequel to Chrono Trigger a few years ago but because FFXV took so many resources, time and cost to create, they had to drop it.
...I wish they'd gone with the CT sequel, personally.

It's probably intentional. Parents will bring their kids to see the new Star Wars not knowing it's been sold out for months ahead of time and take them to see Alvin instead.

I'd like to say Star Wars, but if not, maybe stay home and just throw on some good movies for them to watch instead~ Because that way you don't have to worry about the millions of people jostling each other to get in to see Star Wars. ^.^)b

Okay, lemme throw this out there. Since I was itty-bitty, and to this very day, I've been an Alvin and the Chipmunks fan. I even have original Chipmunks record albums; actual vinyl.
Now, if I were 6 years old, and a new Star Wars movie was coming out and my parents took me to see the Chipmunks instead, I would pitch an absolute fit!

You'll be sad to know that the recent chipmunks movies are far from good and practically exist to be lame cash-grabs in the same vein as Adam Sandler movies.

It's kid-friendly meme fodder the likes of which are reserved for movies like G-Force (coincidentally, another family-friendly CG movie about talking mice).
I don't think i'll be watching any of these movies. I was never into star wars in a way that some people are (must be a cultural thing), and i only liked the chipmunks cartoon. Anything live action is too cringey for me.
