WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

I actually like Conjuration for the summons, especially since it's a nice way to distract tough enemies (like the bandit chiefs) while I wail at them from the sidelines.
As for the glitch question... I play the game often? I haven't really got stuck in walls, but I've experienced the lock in sneak mode, items floating in the air or can't be picked up even when your cursor is aligned with them, etc.

I've never gotten stuck on a wall unless i was playing with cheats on.
That is so weird! I've racked up well over a hundred over 200 hours of Skyrim (must be getting close to 200 now) and I've never had those kinds of issues before. Like... there was the one time I couldn't pick up an item since it had fallen behind a barrel, so I used the TCL command for it, but it was the only time I'd actually needed to do anything to deal with a bug. Of course, there's the ol' Dragon Bones have appeared to have fallen out of the sky/are doing a dance on the ground again but that was more funny than anything and not an inconvenience. It's so strange to hear about it being buggy from other people when I've not seen it - even from LPs I've watched. So weird.
I mean, the game is pretty broken if you spec into specific classes, but those aren't bugs, it's just not meant to be a hard game - more a walk-around, explore and kill-shit game. It's definitely no Dark Souls.

I tried to not use cheats for a long time but i had to give up when i got into the most unfair fucking boss fight i've ever dealt with in videogames. Seriously this skeleton dude or whatever would 1-hit kill me with so much as the brush of his sword.
Nope, no mods or cheats on in my game. Though I am strongly considering the unauthorized patch because that friction issue with climbing stairs is really pissing me the fuck off.
I mean, really, who wants to have to start hopping like a kangaroo when sneaking up on zombies? Get that shit the fuck out of here!

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

That patch fixes about a million bugs and doesn't really change anything else except bugs. Definitely get it.

This video helps define the source of a long existing phenomenon that I feel we're mistaking for something else. I feel it's more a case of "fitting the part" than anything to do with the characters themselves. Thick armor? Gun? Dangerous terrain? Sounds like a setting for a manly man, right? Enter Samus Aran and cue everyone losing their shit. Now everybody loves her.
One thing I'd like to bring up following this line of logic is the whole chainmail bikini stuff. I think we've been mistranslating this into intentional hypersexualization and overt sexism instead of a more realistic situational dissonance. You look more like you're at a modeling agency than heading into combat; that doesn't make sense.
If things made sense, we'd have less problems, because I think most of us can agree that there's a time and a place for legit "sexy"; those times and places are just less common than we'd care to admit. I think it also lays to rest the debate on whether or not Bayonetta is or isn't a prime example of male gaze.
I'm also gathering information on how to reduce the prospect of villainy from our fellow gamers due to things most of us either don't acknowledge or simply never understood in the first place. I'd like to think most of us aren't trying to cause any trouble.
I wonder how that differs between genders, though. I was reading a topic a while back about how men and women view interaction in MMOs and it showed that women were more leery of sharing information with the other people online but also cared less about what gender the other players were and thus were more likely to treat confirmed male and female players the same (in general, of course. there's always exceptions).
Now, this video is from a male's point of view and hearing him talk about how he'd choose a burly man tank with the same stats over the woman wearing a cloak, I was like "Woman pls" because there's something about a smaller character beating down hulking brutes that tends to appeal to a lot of people, too. It's not just 'this person makes sense to be strong tank because muscles and male' - I know plenty of women who are small and have put big men on their asses and thus it's more likely that I wouldn't automatically pick the big hulking dude to play tanker.
That said, the idea that 'clothes maketh the man' is an interesting one and not one I've heard of much in game dev bar the usual 'this doesn't make sense for a character like x to wear'. The way it affects the way a player plays a game is an interesting concept that we should probably make a topic about to explore because it's such an interesting idea.
Also, the gender differences, too, might play a part. Women have had to get used to expecting female characters to usually be wearing those chainmail bikinis, and thus possibly experience a disconnect from character-playing to player-playing. That is, we're expected to have our female characters do anything in illogical clothing choices so I'd imagine that tying RP to different clothing choices wouldn't really work so much in that aspect since we're already ignoring said choices for our characters. If that makes sense?
I'm tying words together to distract myself from brother yapping at me over some bullshit about batteries or something. >.<;

author=CorfaisusIt's not always time for sexy?

I don't wanna live in this world any more.
sexy times~?
I don't have sound at work so I skipped the video but when I play FF14 it's for the true endgame: Glamors! I'd much rather play dress up than any of that serious raiding nonsense. One plus for FF14 is that cloths generally are the same for both male and female. Barring a small handful of exceptions (Dragoon artifact armor has a belly hole for females, yes it is dumb) it's mostly the same stuff. I mean look at subligars:

There's an obvious difference when equipped by women but it's still the same general armor. Hell even now the FF14 dev team is working on bringing some women-exclusive gear over to becoming unisex so guys can wear the bunnygear outfit. I'm happy with the approach FF14 has taken to gear and appearance* unlike others where the same gear looks radically different when equipped by guys or girls or when some articles of clothing seem to not exist at all (usually it involves pants).
*Their approach to how to dress up on the other hand is, uh, lacking to say the least.

It's a good thing I didn't post this super sexy image instead then!
lol, this is so alien to me. Who does that? Who is so gullible and so easily influenciable that being told a coat is for one profession or another changes the way they approach things? Do people think fabric grant them special powers or something? ...Also I've never experienced the whole playing a game differently depending on how your character dresses/looks. It's a purely an aesthetic choice to me. But I can sort of understand that a bit more. After all, some people really get invested in their games.
On the bikini-armor thing. It's videogames. Things don't have to make sense. You're onto something though, if people didn't mistake things they don't like for overt "isms" we'd have less problems. If something takes you out of a game it's ok to talk about it. But it's always the time and place for that thing for somebody else... Live and let live. Or rather, play and let play.

clothes can speak more about someone then one might want to believe
ie: fuck off you kidding me i have to care about my appearance?
ie: wana fit in? gota wear the right clothing then
