Maybe my mind isn't as dirty but i can't spot the crap that went past the radar.

I just had my first short spat with 60 fps videos and I tell ya, I don't like it. Life is meant to be slow and forgettable, but 60 fps videos capture every minute detail and blow it up in your face and it's weirding me out.

I thought we were going to stop bringing up political topics for, like, at least 24 hours?

LockeZ - thanks for those in depth posts about FFX's lore. I am a huge nerd about things like that, but FFX was one of the games I hadn't really researched.

Say what you want, the "because you'd be in jail" line was biting as hell. I'm not voting for him, but holy shit, that was fresh.

Though let's turn our eyes to the critics, shall we? I'm not about to post what I'm about to say to Facebook under fear of losing favor with my newly acquired Christian friends, but as someone who stands for equality, choice and weighing like things against each other, this needs to be said.

How on earth can evangelicals maintain any moral platform from which to speak out against abortion and gay marriage if we’re going to dismiss and normalize adultery and sexual assault? The evangelical hypocrisy meter is redlining right now — and the world, as well as our own children, are taking note.

I'm certain you mean well by your definition of what the Bible has to say, but can we get past this flawed notion that "all sins are equal", or that true self-sacrificing love can in any way be considered a sin? What we're comparing in like terms here is:

Abortion to adultery (or infidelity)
Gay marriage to sexual assault (or rape)

Listen, no one wants to kill an unborn child, not even the pro-choice crowd, but sometimes there are real reasons why you'd want to take that into consideration. Will it kill the mother and/or the child if taken to term? What if the woman was sexually assaulted and became pregnant? Would you demand that she give birth to her rapist's child because "all life is precious" (which clearly the rapist didn't have in mind)?

You can even cross-compare these things and they're still not reasonable. Gay marriage isn't rape, nor is it infidelity. Gay marriage is well within the definition of "self-sacrificing love". If any two people want to take that leap together, who truly understand what "through thick and thin" means, I say we let them. Sure, being abstinent and alone works for some people, but that shouldn't be the law of the land. Let people love and be loved. It's not your place to say they can't.

Does anyone think the main theme to "Can't Drive This" is just a little bit too close to that one song (you'll know it when you hear it) from the 60s/70s?
