WHAT'S THE BEST PLACE TO FIND FREELANCE ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS?

I'm currently planning an RPG project which I intend to start working on towards the end of the year or next year. However, for this project I would like to hire a pixel artist and a musician to work on those respective parts of the game. I'm not currently looking to hire someone, but once the game has been properly planned and the engine is finished being programmed, then I will be hiring.

So I was wondering if anyone knew of good places (like websites) where I can find pixel artists and musicians that do freelance work. Or maybe some of you are willing to do some pixel or music work freelance sometime in the future? I searched a bit and found a few websites, but maybe some of you know some better places.

I was just thinking it could be useful to have a list of websites and maybe a list of portfolios of artists. Not just for me, but for others who might be interested in hiring an artist.

And if there's already a place where this information can be found, sorry in advance and thanks in advance for redirecting me!
For musicians, there's an abundance of ability lurking around this site. An alternative method is to go around listening to various VGM remixes, finding sound-styles you like, then contacting the musicians and asking them if they'd be interested.

If you find any pro pixel artists, let me know too.

You might want to try Newgrounds for music. I should take that advise myself, at some point. Alternatively, there's always the video game music archive, which has a plethora of MIDI remixes from commercial games to choose from.

One way you can search to hire pixel artists is by posting "hiring pixel artists" on deviant art forums:

I would love to do some free music for you! I can do: dungeon, snow field, adventure, ghostly, weird, scary, rock, jazz, and blues. Here is an example of ghostly, weird, scary, and dungeon-ey:
