WHAT PROGRAM IS RECOMMENDABLE FOR CONVERTING MUSIC FILES?

I've currently got quite a beautiful music file in .mid format. VX Ace can play this, but it hiccups for an alarmingly long time before it finally plays. The help resource says that optimally, music should be in .ogg, format, but the first converter I found heavily distorted the music, and the second converter I found was infested with spyware. What program do you folks recommend?
There are a lot of free online sites that let you convert your beautiful midi music into oggs.

I use this one:

Also, it might helped that you convert your midi to an mp3 using some free mp3 converters that use soundfonts pre-programmed into the converter process.
I use dbPowerAmp for my bulk music conversion needs. I believe there's a Midi-In plugin for it too. The site is in your face about buying it though, you can download a trial with 21 days of full functionality and I think after that it still works except for MP3 Lame Encoder (which is trash anyways) and multicore support. I know I still use it and never bought it but that could be because I'm using an older version back when it was freeware.

Another alternative is Audacity. It can open a digital music file and convert it into other formats such as OGG. However you will need to convert the MIDI into a digital format like WAV. I use Winamp when I need to convert MIDI (or other weird formats that Winamp can play, like SPC) into something else as a middleman. You can tell it to use the Disk Writer plugin (under Preferences->Output->Disk Writer) to make a WAV file out of whatever it is playing like a MIDI. Take that output WAV file, plug it into Audacity, and tell it to export an OGG file.

I'd definitely try m4uesviecr's site first though. It looks a lot easier than any of the processes I laid out.

I have a similar pro--
Whoa whoa, thanks for this<3!

Yaaaaay! I've been looking for a proper working online converter for a while now. I prefer online to offline because the programs usually have viruses.

I had a beautiful MIDI that VX Ace wouldn't even play, so converting it to .ogg did the trick.

the only thing I don't like about that site is the fact that it requires you to pay to register if your file is over 100 megs. can anyone recommend a good site to go to for free? or a good program that will take videos like that site does for free also? thankz for all the help.
