CloseIs it possible to make a board game style rpg using rpgmaker 2003?
It was the idea that got me to download the program and to register at these forums, but I have no experience at all with coding/game design although I have done some pixels.
I would have to be able to roll dice and to automate movement on a board. Any ideas on where to start.

Yes. Yes it is indeed possible, through events. Maybe you should try using the program a bit, to get your bearings? Try some RPG Maker tutorials maybe? It's not that hard to use, really. If you want specific advice on implementing this feature, then ask, but I'm not sure you know how to use the program properly yet. If you do, then just correct me.

you'll need to understand how to do switches, variables and conditional branches, look up tutorials and it will help to do a simple rpg first. But yes it's completely possible, anything turn based is possible in RM really.
