FAST TRAVEL SCRIPT FOR XP? OR POSSIBLY AN ADAPTATION FOR THIS TELEPORTATION SCRIPT?

I'm looking for a fast travel script for my game. Too many locations linked together by wandering around is going to get tedious, so I looked around for one, but couldn't find one.
I did find this teleportation script by shdwlink1993, that someone on the forum page for that mentioned they were interested in maybe turning that script into a fast travel script.
And also, I believe someone has made a fast travel script for VX Ace.
But is there none for XP?

Teleporting is really easy to event. Just assign three variables to be X coordinate, Y coordinate, and Map ID of wherever you want to drop the character. You probably don't need a script for that.
Is this when I mention Lloyd's Beacon for, like, the billionth time?
Anyway, I have a working version of a teleport that is set by the player's position in VX. However, I see no reason why it shouldn't work in XP.

I guess I'm talking about a menu option where you can choose from a list of locations, and through the script you'd be able to activate locations only once the character has visited them. Then they're on the menu, so you can fast travel there.. I'm basically thinking how it's done in fallout 3, and the earlier ones I believe.
There is already a transfer player function in xp but I'm talking about like a move-the-player-around-a-world-map type function, preferable with a menu option... I'm not sure if I got the idea across.
