Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni
Since 1979 one person has died and another disapeared on the Watanagashi Festival, they said the it's a curse of Oyashirosama, the god that protects that village, Hinamizawa.
1983 - there were two victims of murder but no one disapeared, myths and paronia start to grow in some of the villagers who seem to be related to the case, But one thing is sure, they have to discover who is behind all this. Is it true that is oyashirosama? or someone is covering up all this things Who will be the next victim?

14 is the max due the lack of real villains in the real anime/visual novel.

^You could always make up some fake villains.
Also IIRC, the higurashi series, isn't EVERY protagonist gonna be a villain at some point??

^yep that's actually one strategy I came up the only thing is that though many end as villain they are not associated with the actually villains who are behind so it would be weird to put two kinds of villain in the same team but well that is just meta-gaming that nobody should care much.
