TO KILL OR NOT TO KILL..

Could you kill someone for money, is their a big enough price for you to take someones life? To expand on this.. Would it really matter to you if the person you were to kill was someone of a horrible nature, would that make it any easier for you in any way?
To be honest if the price were right and the person I had to kill was someone like a pedophile or rapist then I probably would end his/her life, if it was just self defense I probably couldn't handle it, seeing that image of what I'd done would possibly drive me to suicide in the end.
Say someone did something disgusting or vile to you would you take the life of the person who did those things, even though he/she had done them in some way would you think death for them be to easy and to hard on you?
I hope that made sense?

It would be nice if your topic had some kind of title so I didn't have to click them to see what they're about.
And. I would kill someone for free all they'd need to do is tell me we're at war and put me in my military unit.
Outside of war... Well there might be a number big enough... But I'd like to have the safety of it not being illegal (i.e. war)

I guess that if there was a war on or something i could kill a man for money but it would have to be pretty high. Or i could just become a killing machine for justice just like Light Yagami off death note. ;D
I personally think everyone has a right to live no matter what they did. Two wrongs never make a right.
I think anyone who says I would never kill anyone for money I have PRINCIPLES is probably lying. I would definitely murder a person if I were offered a large sum of money and I wouldn't feel guilty if the person were incorrigible. I do believe there are certain people in the world who have completely forfeited their right to live (by torturing or murdering others, serial rape, molesting very young children, leading our country to war in Iraq etc).
But seriously it would have to be a million dollars or more because killing someone is just not something I am comfortable with!
Also consider this: executors in prisons kill people for a living. The person facing execution has been determined by the legal system of his nation as purely evil and impossible to rehabilitate. Every time he pushes the button, someone dies -- and his price is probably $30 an hour.

The killed parties have been declared as purely evil and impossible to rehabilitate.
I really don't understand this, even people like Hitler are still human. They should simply just be locked up and die of old age. Then again there would be alot of money involved to fund such a system.

Not to mention some executions don't function properly and have a case of causing a slow and painful death.
I don't know the answer to this, and probably would not know until faced with the decision.
I can't imagine killing someone would be easy to do, no matter what the circumstance.

I would slit anky's throat for a nickel.
You mean anky's momma.
Either way, I would definitely kill someone for a large enough sum of money. However, it would have to be something I would deem worthy of dying.
Darken mentioned Hitler above. Yes, Hitler was still human. But due to his actions, millions of peoples lives were destroyed. There's a line that is crossed where a single person's life no matters as much as the whole.

Leave anky's momma out of this!
My honest answer is I would not kill anyone for money. I make more than enough money to provide for my family and anything else would be just padding the bank account. What is a million dollars compared to the value of one person's life?
However, I would not hesitate to kill someone in self-defense, to protect my family or to defend my country (by defend I do not mean invading other countries under false pretenses). I would kill a person in a position of power who was doing terrible things (Hitler) even though killing is against my beliefs if I thought it would be for the greater good.
But never for money.

I would like to think that I'd have enough moral fibre to restrain from killing a person for any motive, though realistically, if I had to kill someone to save myself or a loved one...
I know that I wouldn't kill for money - any amount. A human life - any human life - is worth more than any money I am likely to get offered to take it.
Once you take a life, you take away the chances that person ever had of redeeming themselves of any wrong-doing they had done in the past. And no compensation would ever be able to wipe away the guilt of knowing that I'd become as bad as, if not worse than, the person I killed.
If I ever got drafted I'd choose to be a medic or technician/engineer/operations officer/etc.

The only time I think I would ever kill anyone would be in self-defense, to save someone else being attacked (particularly a loved one), and maybe war. Not something I really like to think about though.

I would kill almost anyone if I had a good reason to.

I don't know I can't help but feel like you THINK this is all true but I'm pretty certain that it isn't. Maybe you've never really known the misery of being truly destitute and without money so maybe you don't value it? Also, I doubt you've ever met a truly depraved, horrible person; someone who beats a pizza delivery guy to concussion with a baseball bat because he is hungry and doesn't want to pay. Sociopaths like this destroy lives without any regard. When you've had an intimate experience with someone who truly does not deserve to live, you will probably have a different view on the situation.
I would kill only if I had to. In principle, I try not to kill bugs, animals, etc, if I can help it.
I've been in situations where people have attempted to mug me. One had a gun, but thankfully didn't get a chance to pull it out. There are plenty of times when the opportunity could have been "justified" to kill someone. But I knew that I wouldn't have to see the people again. Instead, it was more simple to break a limb or knock them out so that they wouldn't be able to continue with whatever plan they had.
Being violent and severely injuring someone? Yeah, I'll do that if I'm being attacked. But I'd honestly rather ruin someone's weapon in a war, rather than killing them. Or wounding their arm/hand so they couldn't fight anymore.
But I imagine there is a threshold of some payment that would convince me that someone needed to be killed. But I think it would also rely on something that makes me feel like it's what should happen -- that it is acceptable. Perhaps something like taking out a crime syndicate for $10,000,000 because I could somehow sneak in or be in the right place at the right time, and it would stop a lot of people from being hurt, etc. I don't think I'd be able to take someone innocent's life, though.
I dunno.
