WTF YOUTUBE!? WHY!?! ;_;

That was probably directed at me... Mainly posting them (if you're not the author). Watching them I'm not quite sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were just on a technicality. (Like, streaming the video could be construed as 'reproduction' or whatever). ...But this is really not a discussion I want to have here, so I'm gonna play it like one of the cool kids in school and bail out. :sunglasses:

If nobody watches them, what are they done for??! As for posting, there's no copyright on these things, what could be the problem?
My question was directed at anybody with an answer. But yeah, I wasn't trying to start a discussion or anything. It just seemed like something silly was being said :3
Actually, I'm pretty sure that if you are talking during your playthrough, it can't be considered as illegal as long as you give credit to the creators of the game and don't claim it as your own. It's seen as a type of 'art' - reactionary. Currently it isn't illegal, but if SOPA had gone through, it would have been. So... they can't toss you for that, at least. ^.^;

Of course, if it's just raw footage, then yeah, it's not as legal, but it's still 'you' playing the game and reacting to it, via the choices you make and how you play it.

Also, older games are less likely to get the whallop from this and if someone flags an LP that's got your reactions in it (as long as you don't use clips from movies or music) then you can argue the reaction thing. It's your voice, your reactions. Like karaoke or things like that.

And that was a tad astray of the topic. It kinda sounds like they might be saying you've used bots to, I dunno, increase your ratings or something. You never answered any of those stupid letters you get where they tell you to sign up at 'x' place and you'll get more viewers, did you? Can't see why it'd get you tossed, but maybe they're cutting down on people deliberately getting views that aren't 'real' or something? Or it might be someone flagging all your stuff. Or copyright content - they changed how it's dealt with recently, and you can argue against it, but you'd need access to your videos to do so. I dunno, try to keep the channels open with them and see what they say.
Xenomic, something tells me your account may have been hacked and used to do the above. You will have to state your innocence and that you did not do anything at all, or ask for specific information as to what "robots" and spiders" are released from what programs.

Either that, or your computer may have been infected with a spyware that releases "robots" and "spiders". You may wanna scan your computer for any hidden spyware.

You may also wanna read this for more info. "Robots" and "spiders" are known as web crawlers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_crawler

Yeah...I didn't start talking in my vids till like last year with Tom & Jerry being my first one (of all the games to pick...). I did have like 60 full playthroughs/walkthroughs/LPs on there (well...something like that. I have a list of what I actually did on my site somewhere...). The majority of my games tend to be old as well (the vast majority of them are Final Fantasy games, and the latest one I've been doing is FFTA, which is pretty old in its own rights). The only RECENT game that would even be considered "new" is Ten Desires, and that's a doujin game at that which EVERYONE and their mother has uploaded around YT.

I never noticed any increase any ratings or anything (most of my videos only ever get like 20-30 views max, IF that...), so...I don't know. I never answered any of those letters (always marked them as spam and whatnot) because I know that's bogus and they're just spambots. I have a feeling it's mostly due to someone flagging me over my recent string of vids (they're all MUGEN related and for Midnight Blisses and Shocks. I think that's a bit silly to flag anyone over, especially if it doesn't harm anyone or anything...).

I will be trying to keep in touch with them somehow. I'm almost tempted to like...call them or something if that was possible and see what is going on. Though dunno if that's possible to do or not. That, and it'd be a hell of a time trying to even get them to understand me as I have a bit of a speech impairment @_@;;

EDIT - I don't even recall if I have something for checking for spyware. I'm assuming Registry Repair does nothing, though I think I have Search & Destroy somewhere...but if it was hacked, then I don't know. Can someone still use the account if you're on it at the same time?
Try the free Malwarebytes, Search and Destroy and SUPERAnti Spyware. Redownload them and run them one after the other. Then get something like AVG or Norton (there are free trial downloads) and go to town.

And yeah, pretty sure they can. The RMN YT channel does.
Well, I just ran Search and Destroy and there were 6 problems, 2 with Registry Repair and 4 with IE (which I don't even USE IE. I use Firefox). I think I have Malwarebytes so I'll probably run that next. I ran a virus scan not too long ago too with Microsoft Security Essentials so there's that...

Hmm...that's kinda silly that that's like that but...I guess not much I can do about that. At this point, I'm thinking it really IS just false flagging...but then I would've gotten notifications of that I WOULD think...>_<

(Sorry for the late reply. Had to have FF off in order to run S&D. Took an hour to scan fully too @_@; )
Upon a little googling, some people have lost accounts in some kind of mass ban. YT may suspect that your account is just a drone or spam account, and you were caught in a sweep.

After you finish doing what Liberty is suggesting, send them another appeal with a list of potentially offending malware you found. Afterward, explain the nature of your account/videos, and just prove that you're a human being and this is your main account.
That there looks like it's because they're all using like 20 accounts (why do you need 20 accounts?)...which is odd since this is the only account I ever had (save for the one I JUST made today) so there shouldn't of been any reason to suspect it as such...unless they're not checking IPs or something. Hmm...

I will have to run the Malware thingie tomorrow (I think I still have it anyways) and see what that gives.

Again, I still need to figure out the BEST way to talk to them (the Suspended Form only allows 200 words so that's not nearly enough to explain anything to them...). Unless again, the email is the best way to do it, but I don't think that's talking to an actual person at all. Hmm...
Why is that account so important to you? Just make a new one and reupload your vids.

By the way I just checked my favourized video list and saw that about 75 % of them don't exist anymore.

I've been on there for 3-4 years and have uploaded roughly 3000 videos

@Xenomic
I'm not a computer guru, but it's possible that your IP is the same or similiar enough to someone with dupe accounts. Or hell, do other people in your household share the computer and have their own youtube channels?

Also, stick to the Suspended Form. They don't have time to read the thousands of emails I'm sure they're bombarded with every day. Also, is it 200 words or 200 characters? 200 words can explain a lot, but if it's only characters, try...

Re: Account 'Xenomic'
I'm unsure of how I violated the rules in TOE #4 Section H. This is my only YT account, and I've been using it for 4 years. Please elaborate on the nature of my offense.
That sucks.
I hope you get your account back, man.
Will stick to the form then. I'll use those words then. And nobody but me uses this computer (and the account isn't used anywhere else) so...yeah. I just finished a 3 1/2 hour Malware scan, and only got 5 things, none of which looked to be any cause for concern at all for this problem.

@Deacon: It's mostly due to the fact of how many of my contacts I'll not have now because of the account being gone, and all of those favorites that I had (I had a LOT of faves...) moreso than the vids, but the vids are a big part too (would YOU want to reupload 2000-3000 videos yourself? That would take an awfully long time...). That, and GMail accounts are horrible...can't even change your name to a nickname ;_;

EDIT - I posted the question in the Youtube Help Forum thingie, so hopefully someone will see that there as well. I also posted another Suspension form with what you said Dyhalto, so again...here's to hoping I get SOMETHING...if all else fails, I'll just call them and attempt to get some answers that way...
If you then appeal (which you did do) and you receive a response detailing/repeating the reason for the termination and your suspension then that means that YouTube have reviewed your case and upheld their decision. Which means that you will not get your channel back, no.

Section 4:H of the ToS refers to automated services like view inflaters perhaps? Big nono.

Just what? Their upholding their decision about something I didn't do? I'm sorry but...what?
Welcome to reality. People are wrongfully convicted in all aspects of life all the time and the onus is on you to prove your innocence. If you make a big enough stink they might do something about it. Don't waste your time making much of a stink here though. It won't do much good. Use the proper channels.

You agreed to a bunch of shit you didn't read which probably states somewhere that they can do this if they want without having to prove anything to you. Most likely written in legal mumbo-jumbo that you wouldn't understand anyways.
You signed the ToS when you joined Youtube, made a account and started uploading. It is simple as that.
Clause 4, part J states: YouTube reserves the right to discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.
In other words, you must accept that this is thier service and they can and will do whatever they want to any content on it. You agreed to the TOS. All you can do now, is appeal to them, just like real life, and hope for the best.

Just upload them or ask to mirror them, edit the videos, and surpass the youtube duplicate video thingy. Usually, youtube don't look at videos until someone reports them. Just do a do over and re-upload under a new account. What a waste though.
Sorry I wasn't able to help.

I wonder if youtube realizes that this heavy handed behavior actually encourages people to make dupe accounts to mitigate losses in the event of random'ish account suspensions. Post your LTs on one channel, demos on another... that sort of thing.
If I ever decide to upload a vid, I'll be sure to use an alternate instead of my main.
