CloseMe myself would like another SMBX event, because really, I got a hold of SMBX during past events but I either didn't know how it worked, or it just didn't work at all at those times.
But, I also want Hunger Games, because I love the movie AND the book, so there shouldn't be any trouble. It could be like, "Design an Arena" or "Be a game maker" or something like that. I haven't seen one yet, and I'm wondering if events are coming soon again. Because really, I'm not too sure if the raffle is finished or not. So if it isn't, I at least want this for the next event.
Sorry if I'm sounding needy, but I haven't heard from Seiromem in a while, and I'm hoping he's not pulling a BoG, where he just disappears from the internet when I ask for partnership.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I think a Hunger Games event would be a terrible idea and would be full of ludicrous fan fictions and god no stop right there.
Also, the SMBX events usually happen regularly. (SEE RMN BROS)

To be honest, "Neither" would be my response to this poll for two reasons:
1) I don't know a thing about Hunger Games, and I don't care to learn.
2) I'm not sure if I'm willing to participate in an SMBX event. I gave it one attempt with RMN Bros 2, and my level was cut. For, perhaps, good reason.

Ok why are we following the typical middle schooler book of choice?
I think a Hunger Games event would be a terrible idea and would be full of ludicrous fan fictions and god no stop right there.(not to mention it would probably be made of mismatching facesets horrible graphics and sideview battle systems or something)

I don't know what the Hunger Games is outside of the context of knowing that it is a thing that exists.

I had someone explain it to me and I found it fairly interesting. As a concept. I would probably give the movie a chance.
Yeah, I refuse to read/watch Hunger Games on account of it being ripped heavily from Battle Royale. The movie isn't great though, I recommend the book or the manga.

It does look similar but the backstory seems different enough.

I voted for Hunger Games, I read the book. I've read better.
But I looked at the past events and their is a lot of SMBX events.

I watched Hunger Games out of shear curiosity.. It was Ok actually. An arena making contest though? Everyone submit a sprite, randomly select which user fights who and vote who wins each fight, that could be fun?

Sounds vaguely like a Battledrome, if you put it that way.
Read both. They're sufficiently different from each other to count as different stories. The characters, their interactions, the history, the lead up to the situations, the way the situations play out... Quite different. Add in the political and war intrigue that became a part of the Hunger Games in the second and third books and, yeah, both very different stories with only the idea of an arena fight to the death full of kids in common.
It's like comparing The Lord of the Rings and the Belgariad/Malloreon. Both a quest that includes travelling across the lands and dealing with different races, trying to eventually destroy an evil, but very different stories.

I don't think I've ever heard someone refer to the Belgariad/Malloreon before. Those were some great books...
Anyway, I vote for a hunger games event, simply because I wouldn't be able to join in a SMBX event.
