I've read about this and am super excited for it! Downloading now.
Somehow, I thought you would!
My two cents:
It plays like any other Mega Man title. Most stages require you to shoot enemies and jump over gaps... and that's pretty much it. There are a few original ideas in obstacles and weapon mechanics (the most notable ones being Tropical Hazard and Aegis Reflector), but most of it is deja vu and not that exciting.
Sadly, several stages' level design is uninspired and boring. Most of the stages' art design seem rushed and aren't good-looking at all.
Despite those flaws the boss fights are fun. Some of the chosen SF characters don't turn out so well as MM bosses though, especially Ryu (and whose weapon is kinda stupid, being almost identical to your Mega Buster). A suitable replacement who would've increased the variety in boss behavior could have been Zangief.
You might also notice the absence of a certain boss and wonder why the hell was he left out.
Overall the game can be as fun as any other Mega Man title, but it was not nearly as good as I expected it to be.

Who is the last boss anyway? I only beat a few bosses before I just shrugged and gave up.
Bison is the end boss, or Akuma if you score three perfects against the other bosses.
It's not too bad. I think my biggest beef with it are that some of the bosses are too hectic to actually utilize any sort of real strategy with. For example, Viper's weakness is Chun Li's Lightning Kick, but the way Viper fights makes using it without dying yourself a risky venture; too risky almost. Also, Vega is cheap as hell. Fuck that guy. Urien however is perfectly difficult, they translated his fighting style from 3rd Strike pretty well.
