VX ACE: BUTTONS STUCK... USUAL REMEDIES AREN'T WORKING.

Hello everyone! Name's Destiny! You can call me Mallow if you'd like. I'd appreciate some help in this.
I'm on a Dell XPS laptop running Windows 7.

Every time I open my demo my party is stuck walking to the left. Also, my up button doesn't work.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. (I haven't tried a clean install. I wasn't sure if there was anything in the registry.)
I have nothing in my USB.
I have a laptop so I can't unplug my keyboard or mouse.
I have restarted multiple times.

Then:

No gamepads installed.
It does it even if I start a new game with it.
I had VX before and it started happening with that.
All of this happened on a Dell XPS laptop with Windows 7. I've tried diabling my laptop keyboard and using an external one.
I've tried with Num Lock on and off.
I've restarted the computer between every step.
I did another clean install last night and completely reinstalled.

I'm really upset about this...
I really wanted to make a 2nd part of my old game for my husband for his Christmas present. I'm about to give up. Incidentally... I found the copy of the first game I made for him with VX and it's doing the same thing, if that says anything about my problem at all. It didn't used to.

And that's everything I've tried. Lol.

Press F1 and you can change the game controls. Try changing them to different keys. The best way to do this is to first disable all the keys and then re-enable them one by one and see if they work. My guess is you'll find one that doesn't work; when you do, leave that key disabled.

Also try changing or disabling the gamepad controls. Even if you have no gamepad installed.

I was thinking of doing this, but I have a question... Okay... the space, enter, esc, num 0, shift, z, x, that parts all keyboard buttons, and the buttons in the drop down menu have gamepad buttons on it... but doesn't have the up, left, right, down buttons. So, exactly what am I lookin' at? I'm going to go disable them all, but was just wondering if you could explain. I googled it and found nothing.

EDIT: Also, disabling ALL of them the d-pad still works and the up key is still stuck.

Hmm, you can't actually change the d-pad from the F1 menu? My bad, I guess.

I got nothin'. Try using a controller and see if that works?

Newp. Lol. It's all good. Hmmm. I'll see what I can do on the controller front. I don't know where mine got off to. Unless I can connect a Wiimote somehow. :)
