I'm trying to do some conversion of RM2K3 to RMVX but I'm having trouble because I'm not sure what the frame rate was for battle animations for RM2K3 to begin with. Anyone know?
I don't know the exact number but I'd bet it'll be a factor of 60. 15, 20, 30, or 60 itself. One quick way to tell would be to make a 240 frame animation in 2k and record how long it takes to complete and divide accordingly. So if a 240 frame animation takes:
~4 seconds - An animation is 60 FPS
~8 seconds - An animation is 30 FPS
~12 seconds - An animation is 20 FPS
~16 seconds - An animation is 15 FPS
You can reduce the total frame length from 240 to something shorter, just make sure you can get a decently accurate time measurement.

The battle animations are a bit slower than the in-game framerate. (Battle animations run at somewhere from 10 to 20fps if I recall.)
