So, as you know, the castles masterpiece set has innitiated and I want to review the end product. I also want to submit too it though. Since this is an SMBX event, the # of levels will probably be high. My levels will only be a small part of the entire game. Can I review it and contribute, cutting out anything dealing with my levels?

I don't think so. As long as you're listed as a developer for a project, you can't review it iirc.

EDIT: Not officially, anyway.

I don't see why not. The worst that can happen is people saying "well, you participated in it, so your opinion doesn't count."
Which I don't think anybody here would say.

You're allowed to post your thoughts, and I'm sure lots of people would appreciate it if you did. However, no, you wouldn't be able to submit it as an official review, and it wouldn't impact the game's star score or anything. A page could be made on the game profile to accommodate such a thing, though.

Hali is correct. The site is hard-coded to prevent developers from reviewing their own game.

or

leave and review.

The first is very questionable, otherwise I would have to ask someone to code an exception.

Not really. You can add media to any game you've made. I've done so for my own, as have others.

If you can't write a review for a game because your on the dev-team, there's the option of talking about your experiences playing the game as a blog. I suppose you could write said blog as if it was a review, if you're really stubborn about writing a review.
