Rpg maker 2003 problem can anyone help ? Topic

Hi there Ive been using all rpg makers for many years now and never had any problems ,I use rpg maker 2003 the most and I have just recently got a new laptop with windows 7 64BIT and now when I play rpg maker 2003 games or test my games in full screen the screen will continuously flicker black when I start walking or press any button or go into the menu screen.

Is there any way to fix this ? I can still play the games fine when it's not in full screen , But Id much rather play it full screen.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

awww man it's just really strange no other games I play flicker constantly only rpg maker 2003.

It might have something to do with the hardware acceleration on your graphics card. However, you'll have to figure that out on your own-- or at least go to the forums on your manufacturer's website. Basically just try and search for "turning off hardware acceleration" for your specific card, or software that comes with the card.

I've found a solution but it's not ideal.

The flickering occurs if background applications require a graphic update. So things like media players and possibly even animated items in your taskbar will cause the screen to flicker.

I've found closing out of these apps caused the flashing to stop.
