AVI VIDEO PASSWORDS

Is it possible for AVI video files to need you to type in a password WHILE the video is playing? I have seen this a couple of times. The video comes up and tells you to enter the password now, and if you don't have it, it tells you to go to a link to get it. So, can AVI files actually see if you typed in a code, and then change movies? I ask because my friend downloaded a movie, and it asks him to type in the code. It is supposed to be a full length movie, however the video that asks for the code is only 4 minutes long, but still has a size of 800 megabytes.

Yet again I ask, is it possible? I am pretty sure it is just a way for a site to gain revenue, as the site this one redirects to is this and it just wants you to complete an offer, and get the word out of the email. I tried and it didn't work. Scam, or Real?

BTW I am really tired, and so I probably darted around randomly throughout this little spiel.
Well, i often download AVI video files and i have never once been asked for a password. I would say Scam.
I would say scam as well, but what does nay of this have to do with rpg maker?
He could be trying to use it in his game as a video although i am not sure if it has to be a certain video type.
Seriously that doesn't look like the type of site to trust, I wouldn't bother.

So in asks for a password while playing the file in RPGmaker or on Media player or what? This has never happened to me before, I'll even tested AVI files on RPGmaker and it worked fine. Just download it from a different site.
Thanks guys, I've already given up on it, as the only way of getting it is through this site. And as a quick, more helpful description:

You double click the video, and it opens in media player. It is a 4 minute long clip of a still picture that says "Enter the passcode now, and protection will be disabled. Don't have a passcode, visit 'SITE URL'".

Anyways, thanks....anyways
