CloseI don't want to sound impatient, but the "release something weekend" is comming up and I need to get my game page approved.
I just want to know if I can get my game submitted on time because at the moment, or as of april 16, 2013, it says "pending" in orange (or it may have been yellow... I don't know).
If you have time to post below, please do. I want to make sure everything is prepared to get my game up and running.

Anywhere from a few days to like a week or two, I think. IIRC there's a queue, so it really depends on how many submissions come in around the same time. So yea, submit your page earlier rather than later once you can meet the reqs (with screenshots and whatnot). Editing the page later is a lot easier.

How long has it been since you submitted the game? It would be better if you PM a mod or kentona, or just simply keep waiting for a few more days. :)
Anywhered from two days to over a week in my experience.
Depends how busy the people are.
I was also wondering, if you were just submitting
pictures for the media portion, would you have
to submit a game, or is there a different method for
submitting this. (Don't really want to submit a game
just to enter pictures into the contest.)
You only need to upload a title, and three screenshots, after all the description. Just be patience.

Well, you sound impatient. Relax! Like others have mentioned, usually it'll take from a day to a week or so for a game to be submitted. Moderators have a life outside too, you know?
For media you will want to make a game page to be able to submit. You don't have to show too much - a 300 word description and three images (they must each be different and not title/game over screen). That's all.
Providing your game page is up to scratch, it should only take a few days to get it accepted to the site. Mind you, if it does take longer, don't worry too much. Decky will get to it before the big event.
