HOW BIG SHOULD PANORAMAS BE, PIXEL WISE?

These are taken using a camera. Right now they measure 2048 x 1536. How far should I scale them down to make them work in the programs? I'm using rmxp if that makes any difference.

I'd like to make them so anyone can use them, no problems. They're in jpeg format.

Map size x 32 tiles.

So if your map is 40x60 then the panorama size should be 1280x1920 to fit perfectly on that map.

I'm planning on putting them up here on the resources section. What size would suit most people?

Any size should be just fine. Besides, people can recrop and resize them anyway they want, anyways.

Cool. I'll just post them up as they came out on the camera. Should I resize them? They're around 500kb. It's just that the image quality might go down a bit if I do.

Once I've resized them, they come out as around 200kb. That's at 640 x 960
