i am working on a project where the characters will be visiting the 4 crystals of earth, fire, water and air(in that order) in order to gain jobs from them. i am open for using script but i dont actually understand the scripting language. the jobs the characters will get is mostly the same as final fantasy 5 and i want the system to be as close to that as possible. i have already developed a system where characters can buy spells but i still need the job system. please help me out.
let me add some information. each class in final fantasy 5 have job levels that are in addition the character levels but each character have their own job levels for each class. lets say a character levels up black mage to a certain level, that would make the black magic skill posible to equip but it only gives spells up to the job level. please help me create that system in rpg maker vx ace.

There was juts a topic about this a couple months ago.
If you can find it, someone explained how to do this
in great detail.

I imagine andreas is aware of this kory, considering he was the one who posted that topic.

andreas, we already helped you with this. Your last post in your previous topic implied that it was sorted. Why are you making the same topic again?

He wants us to make the game for him.
i dont know much about the programming language used in vx ace so i need help with learning how i can code in it. i am willing to learn so that i can program stuff myself. i have only programmed in html and flash so far. please teach me.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Hrm. I wonder what's a good way to begin? There are probably some guides to Ruby (the programming language used in RPG Maker) and RGSS3 (the set of default scripts) if you look around in the tutorials section of RMN and the other RPG Maker websites.

But if you can program in Flash, you can probably start figuring out how to make basic scripts. A good way to start would be to try messing around with the battle formulas in the default scripts. Just searching around in there until you find the right functions and attempting to make damage be based on different stats, and do basic things like make enemies never get critical hits and make players never miss, will teach you as much as any tutorial. The functions are named and organized pretty intelligently in the default scripts, so searching for and disabling critical hits should be easy enough that a beginner could figure it out with no instruction as long as they know at least one other programming language - this was actually the first thing I ever did in RPG Maker's scripts.
terrible idea. i cant edit anything through the scripting language because it is all hardcoded. is there any other rpg maker where the system can be created or is it a lost cause.
