I'm making a fan game based on the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comic Series. The problem being that at random, my sprites become transparent from the neck-down, while the head is still opaque.
can you show us some screenshots?
And when does this happen? ingame? is the sprite walking underneath an overhead tile?
What maker?

I apologize for the minute info, my patience was growing thin. Anyways, in-game, rpg Maker 2K3. The body of my characters is transparent on all tiles except dirt road and sand. If you look on my profile you can see early screenshots.

The tiles in question are probably set to "bush" attribute, which partially obscures the bottom half of character sets passing over them.

Can you be a bit more specific on what you mean?

Go to the Terrain tab in the database. There are radio buttons for options such as "Obscure bottom half" and "Obscure bottom third". Perhaps this is your fix. Make sure your map tilesets in the "Tilesets" tab are correctly set to the appropriate terrain type.
