I am going to be as specific as I can here so there is no confusion. There are a lot of different takes on an 'Ammo System' so I need to be exact.

There is a character in my game who uses a rifle that can be outfitted with different kinds of shells. I need a script or otherwise the ability to make the following happen.

-The rifle itself functions more or less identically like any other equippable weapon. More powerful guns can be found as the game goes on.

-The ammunition however is what influences the bulk of this character's attack power when making physical attacks. Meaning, stronger ammunition has its own point values to contribute to this character's attack power.

-Ammunition has effects such as elements and status effects.

-Ammunition is a finite resource, with 1 unit of ammo being used up for every physical attack made, the 'Attack' command being used in battle.

-Ammunition is an equippable resource; ammunition that the player desires to use at that time can be equipped to this particular character. I am using a script that allows me to customize how many things individual characters can equip and for what. Therefore, I can make it so this one character has a slot dedicated to ammunition.

-The closest analogue to what I'm describing is Rosa from FFIV. As a matter of fact it's almost exactly that.

Sounds to me similar to what has done regarding arrows in Homework Salesman with a few caveats in its implementation: for some reason, the bow was equipped in the off-hand slot and the quiver of arrow as the actual weapon; in the current download, the arrows available don't have elemental and status effects. Other than that, it seems to work as system needs. The other thing that's extra in the implementation there, is that they have skills using the arrows that consume more than 1 arrow per shot that get deducted from the arrow count before the damage is done. Anyway, based on this, I think it should be doable.

Yeah. Billy Lee Black. It's sort of similar to that as well. I was going to use him as an example, but Rosa from FFIV is the closest.
